Nice EQP too
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Let’s hope he has the same impact as Potter and Porter

A little more pressure for Lancaster...

Hopefully Walsh will be as good as the last pair of Aussie youngsters :smt023

I can see Walsh playing more as a 15 like his brother has done

When I saw the photo I initially thought we had signed Luke Pearce! Don’t know much about him but given the success of Potter and Porter I have high hopes

Sorry OT but I see no value in going after a fullback whilst Hegarty does such a solid job when Steward is away.
Not suggesting a pure out and out 15 but someone who perhaps can play left wing/FB would be my ideal. Hegarty is doing fine and I’m hoping he’ll turn into a Scott Hamilton esq player so it’s certainly not essential. A bee LH and wing would be my priority depending on Nemani and Kini leaving/staying

Looks like a talented kid, will be interesting if we see him as a 12 or 13?

Could be we see his power and pace combination as making him an ideal successor to Scott who will be 32 by the start of next season. An ideal mentor for him and if he develops that way could play across both centre positions which would suit us and probably help Cockanasiga if he has international aspirations.

Rugby Paper has now printed the story that Cokanasiga has signed for us - admittedly whilst repeating that Nadolo is still leaving us in the summer. Guess we’ll find out in due course.

I mean in terms of backlines
9. Youngs, 10. Pollard
12. Kelly, 13. Moroni
11. Nadolo/New Winger, 14. Potter, 15. Steward

9. JVP, 10. Burns
12. Cokanasiga, 13. Scott
11. Porter, 14. Murimurivalu, 15. Hegarty

9. Wigglesworth, 10. Lancaster
12. Gopperth, 13. Cusick
11. Ashton, 14. Saumaki, 15. ___

Dev
9. Edwards, 10. Walsh
12. Woodward, 13. Loose

Would work and we would be on the same amount of players as we are now.
Ford, Van Wyk, Socino, Taute out - Pollard, Cokanasigna, Gopperth, Cusick in
Honestly prob a decent saving as well

I also wonder if they are linked (in the sense of adding some bulk to the back line to replace Nemzi) - not like for like in terms of position or ultimate skillset (let's be honest, there's very, very few players like Nadolo in the world) but gives us a bulky carrying threat in the back line to help fix defences.
