It could have gone both ways for me with a different sir, but Sarries did edge it in this game in terms of performance, I agree.

Maybe if/once we are fighting for 4th then yeh I agree.
Agreed 2 more wins for a top 2 and in those we have got Falcons away Bristol and Wasps at home with hopefully a fully fit squad

Let's look at the positives - LBP at Sarries isn't a bad return - no injuries to be seen - scrum held up reasonably well - Moroni and Scott did well and give us many options at center. Negatives for me were - Kini didn't look match fit and not sure how comfortable Freddie looks at FB - no mistakes but didn't impress me and the starting back row looked unbalanced - defence at times wasn't as good as it usually is.

There won't be too many teams that go to the StoneX and do any better than a LBP

You're not alone in thinking that they were better. but they were better because they had all the players on the pitch.

You look at the Ford tackle getting a yellow and then Van Du Merve getting one for a awkward arm and then Nalango for Bristol - but the Ford wasn't a red 'because of the step'. Its not in the rules or the regulations - its force to the head on head - Sarries should have been down to 14 without a doubt.

Nope, not alone at all.

We had some opportunities but their defence was better, they played the conditions and the ref better and knew they could stop most of our momentum by conceding penalties and there would be very little in terms of additional sanctions. They were smart and took their chances. We've not looked like a slick side since Saints away. Since then we've ground out results and not hit those heights.

Honestly nothing today for me showed why Ford should’ve started

I don't believe in the concept of "playing the ref". This is essentially professional fouling. If the ref doesn't sanction appropriately, he is not doing his job correctly.

We need a fully fit squad as the weather improves we cannot continue to win matches with just a rolling maul.

Agree. With hindsight, too much change in the back line today probably made a difference.

CMK was dreadful but we wasted so many opportunities to score including the yellow card period. We've got to be more savvy in the opposition 22, our ball carrier was always to obvious and therefore met by a swarm of Sarries tacklers. We looked too reliant on someone coming up with some individual brilliance.

His goal kicking?

But I agree that the changes in the backs were potentailly disruptive.

Slow ball gives the opposition time to line up and JVP delivered snail ball even when we had quick ruck ball.

Looking at the stats he was the only player on either side who never made a tackle.
