London Irish have just beaten Sarries!

As such, all about the points and overcoming the major psychological barrier of losing at the Rec. And let’s be fair, a Bath team that I thought played really well and always raise their game against us.

Points of difference to me was Leibenburg, Heyes and fitness (thanks Aled again). Heyes tore apart his oppo. Leibenburg just steadies the ship . Momentum change was the subs. And the coaching team - go in at half time all over the place, come out after half time and Bath then don’t get a point.

We didnt play well (shockingly in the second quarter) but still found a way to win. that’s why we are top of the table.

11 point gap at the top of the table, I'm flip-flopping between "getting a nosebleed up here" smugness and "we're going to break bones when we fall back from here" fatalism...
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Weise immense ! If we don’t have King Cole and Nephi through injury I really hope we can keep Heyes after that performance. I just hope Eddie is as inconsistent as ever for our sake

A few good performances, Heyes MoM in my opinion. Pleased we adapted tactically in 2nd half and shut them out.

Dickson performed poorly as expected.

Borthwick said post match that the team adapted out on the pitch (was obvious to see) how many matches would we have won with previous incumbents in charge if the players had been empowered to do that? :smt017
We are certainly greater than the sum of our parts, isn't it wonderful?

We didn't play that well but we played like Tigers. Magnificent effort from all our chaps.
I love beating Baaaarth. The old enemy but a proper club, even if they are a rich man's hobby.

Saracens lost to London Irish too. Where's that bottle of McCallan's?

Sign of a good team to win when not playing well, and all that.

Bath are a bit better than their position suggests, especially with some of the players that have come in to the side recently, so happy to dig out the win.

Good adjustments made in the 2nd, and good impact from the replacement forwards. Burns looks much more settled.

I’ll take that, although it wasn’t pretty. Wins in Bath are rarer than hen’s teeth so I’ll be raising a couple of glasses of rouge to the dogged Tigers players !

Thought Clare did well when he came on, he’s obviously not Montoya but the scrum and line out held up well.

Pleased with the victory but I have to agree with previous posts by Mr. Raging Bull we do need an international quality 2nd row. Wells is playing well and Green and Snyman are good standard but we are just lacking that bit of quality
