Can breathe again for a few min, we do need to just calm things down a bit, hopefully tire Saints out a bit for that 10.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

We need to slow the game down, especially until Wells gets back on. Although our last scrum was going backwards at a rate of knots.

Nadolo can defend, he's also 20+ stone so he will get done for pace occasionally.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:35 pm What have we learned.. we like to make things difficult for ourselves, another stupid stupid yellow card, Nadolo can finish! Nadolo can’t defend, not sure about Hegarty kicking, Carley just makes things up as he goes, Ashton has already made himself a hero!
Bring on the second half!

I'm not sure it is fair to say Nadolo can't defend. He was out-paced and out manoevered by somebody half his size. Otherwise,I agree!OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:35 pm What have we learned.. we like to make things difficult for ourselves, another stupid stupid yellow card, Nadolo can finish! That scrum shows 2 things to me
1- How important Wells is to our scrum
2- Liebenberg is not a 2nd row even if he can fill in there

We've picked a big team, they've picked a bunch of speedsters. Occasionally they're going to run round us, but I'm more than happy with the way Saints are playing - 20m miss pass going forward on your own 22 is amateur stuff.
Porter and Kelly have been strong, Burns has played well, I'm not sure I like him chipping on his own 22 but it came off so well done to him, he's also done well with clearing kicks from a couple of less than accurate passes from Wigglesworth that he's had to reach for.
A forward in the bin for the last scrum, not worried about that. Wells a bit unlucky to be carded IMO, it was more the Saints player lifting his own legs up - but it is what it is, player safety, can't complain.

You’re right it’s a bit harsh as he’s been great tonight bar one missed tackle just such terrible technique but yes, it was a good step by the Saints player.. and to be honest, I wouldn’t fancy being tackled by him!Pellsey wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:39 pmI'm not sure it is fair to say Nadolo can't defend. So can we put to bed the Ashton committment and defending questions, at least for a bit?
Wells is turning into a bit of a liability with silly penalties this lest few weeks, or at least that's the impression I have...

No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Think we need 2 more tries to win this!

Depends who scores first I reckon.. we go over and it’s 29-10 I reckon we have it nailed. They score first and 22-17 it’s game on.. especially as we have 7 or so minutes a man down.. first score key

Lets not forget at their place we managed yellow cards well, that Ford box kick and drop goal!!OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:46 pmDepends who scores first I reckon.. we go over and it’s 29-10 I reckon we have it nailed.
