Hegarty showing that having one or two very good spells at 10 does not mean you are able to play 10 whenever against whoever. Sadly. Borthwick's Burns error cost us. No experience at 10 at all to run the game. A great attacking scrum half at fullback. Lost two away games this season that should have been easy ish wins.

And if he’s not then put an experienced full back on there like Kini for when you move Hegarty

Proves the difference Ford makes. Both fly halves have been bad- Hegarty has had a terrible game

Borthwick first major error of the season, but live and learn. Stats are now that Sale have lost 1 out of 15 at home

Too much kicking in first half costs us dearly. We never used the overlaps properly and all our decision making was awful. Wigglesworth too slow, needed JVP from the off. Very disappointed

So that's a chance lost then, can't comment until I've seen it but that's a poor loss that far ahead!

Almost makes it worse! We should have seen it out after Montoya scores his 2nd and we have been so far clear it’s untrue

Ah well

I can't but think that Steve was testing players today and it just failed. Hopefully he doesn't too much more of this i. the next few months!

I think though we have not been playing well for a month or so. Maybe we are just missing certain players especially back row since and IMHO Ford especially today.

Exactly - when I saw the squad I thought he was there precisely for that eventuality. How can JVP be better at 15 than other options?

Not having Muri on the bench is also criminal, if he is fit he has to be on the bench, a first class full back with lots of experience.
