Not to me,i believe he just said vets instead of vet just stating DC is one of the old uns. I don’t believe he meant vets as in him and DC.RagingBull wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:00 pm Marler on Instagram saying he has another year with Quins

Can’t believe the attempted point scoring over whether a conversation has been had or not!

There is a fine line between Secrecy & Mushroom Treatment, for me the balance is off at the moment.RagingBull wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 5:58 pm It’s interesting really I think if it was up to Borthwick we wouldn’t have announced Pollard when we did if not for trying to calm down supporters.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Easier to link a Twitter post than type out a Instagram post TBFScott1 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:16 pmWhy didn’t you just lead with that one?RagingBull wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:10 pmOk how about

Borthwick has his reasons but must admit to being a bit disappointed that we have not announced any re-signings as most other clubs have.

Might well be unfair to lay this at SB’s door, but I still remember him picking up a nickname of The Prince Of Darkness when he first came in.

Can I just ask what other clubs have announced resignings. I’m fairly sure we did announce some of the young bucks extending deals before Xmas

Thank you for that, that thread is 118 pages long and covers everything world wide, not just resignings for premiership clubs which is what we appear to be discussing. My point is that in the midst of the all other rumours, it may seem there is more happening than there isMrG2 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:49 pmRugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 6:43 pmCan I just ask what other clubs have announced resignings. Hi Everyone
It was me who mentioned Marler's family living somewhere south of London.
He has shown in the past that family is important to him, such as when he has withdrawn from a couple of international squads. He has also talked about his mental health.
Respect to that.
Having moved from "gods own county" Leicestershire in 1987 after 3 years at university I am the first to admit that its a culture shock when you can't buy a cob because everyone calls it a roll or a sarnie is a sandwich etc, but I do believe Marler can cope with the cultural shock but can his Missus?

I look forward to reading in Marler's autobiography about how he turned down a move to Tigers because, after visiting for the day, his wife couldn't work out how to ask for a sandwich.
