We lost for the first time in 6 months, it wasn't long ago we'd be happy for one win in 6 months.

Onto Connacht.

1 loss is not a slide but a drop off in performance is a slide, to my uncultured eye we have gone off the boil, we were very much at sixes and sevens until the last play of the game against a poor Bristol team, yesterday we were very blunt in attack against a team that are no where near the top of anyone's most feared list!
I am not doom mongering just an objective view, things are never as rosy as some would hope and never as dark as others would wish.

Thanks for that, I knew it was someone not at the top of the referee charts.

Tommy Reffell 22 tackles 0 Missed
Montoya 19 tackles 1 missed

No wonder Reffell couldn't make his presence known at the breakdown he was doing all the tackling. Prob highlights the imbalance in the pack usually you would be wanting your 7 to make half that amount.
And Montoya’s 19 from how many minutes ? 60 odd ?

Simmonds was fine, assuming you’re on about the Marler incident?

The drive was a result of Hepburn letting go having taken his legs above the horizontal. Simmonds did not do anything wrong to warrant a red card.

Still has a duty of care to not drive his opponents head into the floor! You're not gonna convince me,others have said it too. Double red for me all day

I agree with Tigerbeat. Marker's head is very close to the floor and Simmonds lifts one leg very little and drives through the body always holding on. There's clear outs like that every weekend. Hepburn is the one that makes it dangerous lifting and dropping Marler onto his head. Ref was spot on with whom to red card.
