Richard Cockerill leaves Edinburgh with immediate effect. Interesting. Says in the statement that he's to pursue other opportunities. France, maybe? International stage?

Lack of money is what I believe is behind this, gossip has it that the players are leaving to get a decent wage.

Looks like Jake Kerr has signed for Bristol. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/57913626
Don't know where that leaves the other ex-Tiger Harry Thacker, who has had a torrid time of late with injuries.

I think he’ll be fine for now. As we’ve seen ourselves, you need at least 4 very decent hookers in a squad.WirralExile wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:24 am Looks like Jake Kerr has signed for Bristol. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/57913626

Big step down for him, crazy to think the likes of Bristol were looking at him before Christmas, the manner of his departure has obviously concerned suitors...RagingBull wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:12 pm Tom Hardwick signs for Sporting Club Albigeois who play in the Nationale
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Notice Bristol hasn't brought in a 10 or 12 this season, so doesn't seem like they are looking.

They picked up EQ Antoine Frisch a 12 from Rouen and gave Ioan Lloyd's younger brother his first pro contract. You'd imagine they'd both be cheaper and less high maintenance than Hardwick though. If Sheedy spends time away with Wales it does leave them with the two young Lloyds and Championship staple Tiff Eden.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 9:03 pmWell according to the rugby paper which doesn't mean much.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:45 pmBig step down for him, crazy to think the likes of Bristol were looking at him before Christmas, the manner of his departure has obviously concerned suitors...RagingBull wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 8:12 pm Tom Hardwick signs for Sporting Club Albigeois who play in the Nationale
