Hill won't be anywhere near the tests and it's well known that 13 has always been Dalys best position. I take it you mean the game prior to SA A where he was OK,he was very ordinary v SA A when he replaced WilliamsLE18 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:01 pmI see they have selected 2 of your least favourite players, Hill and Daly? He replaced Williams at 15 and was his usual self. Couple of errors, nothing special. The game prior where he played the full 80 minutes at 13 against Sharks was what you might call close to very good but the opposition has to be taken into account. He wasn't very good Wednesday by any stretch of the imagination! No one was really bar Wyn Jones,Itoje,Curry and WatsonLE18 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:32 pmYou watch a different game to me.

Never mind, I disagree, but you've got AWJ coming back to keep you busy.Scott1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:34 pmHe replaced Williams at 15 and was his usual self. Couple of errors, nothing special. Glad he's back, the team need a lift. Take no notice of Gatlands kidology saying The Lions would've got more out of that game than SA. Nonsense. That's a poor loss in a game where they had a 2 man advantage and they were more match fit than SA too. Advantage SA going into the testsLE18 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:43 pmNever mind, I disagree, but you've got AWJ coming back to keep you busy.Scott1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:34 pmHe replaced Williams at 15 and was his usual self. I don't want to be defeatist but SA A looked far stronger than us, and going forward I cant see a selection that we can make that is going to beat the first team.Scott1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 7:47 pmGlad he's back, the team need a lift. Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....
Re: Lions 2021
What’s the fascination with Mako?! Number one v SA you have to be able scrummage, look what happened to poor Cole in the RWC final until Marler came on! If Wyn Jones isn’t fit I wouldn’t even start Mako!kk20gb30 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 7:26 am Ronan O’Gara selects his Lions XV :

Re: Lions 2021
Surprised that no reference to Etzebeth and his neck rolling at breakdowns. It's his standard technique. Twice on Itoje in the space of two minutes on SA line in second half. Both coaches are right. Decision making with refs is now random / arbitrary. In front of the kicker / pinged / not pinged - in at the side / pinged not pinged. / etc etc. It's just pot luck.
Re: Lions 2021
Some interesting, possibly dubious, selections there! Mako, Farrell, AWJ, and the back 3, not sure about Hogg and leaving out Adams? Daly I agree with on his current showings, but Harris, Aki etc would be unlucky. Back Row, who is going to be his No 8?kk20gb30 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 7:26 am Ronan O’Gara selects his Lions XV :

Re: Lions 2021
Yes Daly has performed at 13 while being his usual mixed bag at 15,mostly poor. I always thought it would be Aki/Henshaw but it looks like Aki has played himself out the test team with his SA no showLE18 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 4:03 pmSome interesting, possibly dubious, selections there!
