Shame no MacGinty, likely would have made a big difference.
Re: England vs USA - 4th July 2021
6-2 split on the bench, Germishuys and Wooching are pretty good backrow players to bring off the bench. Having watched a little bit of MLR, I know that uncapped Kruse on the wing is pretty handful and has been instrumental in a lot of Utah’s tries alongside Eagle stalwart Te’o.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 7:52 am 1. Feel like no Lamositele is also a loss for the Americans, but I’m hoping we get a good game out of them on Sunday.

Wow congrats to Steward, Heyes and of course Genge, shame Wells and Kelly missed out but maybe they’ll get their chance versus Canada.
Good to see Randall and Smith starting too.

Looking forward to seeing how Steward performs. Not over impressed with Umaga; Marcus Smith is in a different class.

Not sure what I make of the team, looks an exciting lineup but hoping to see Dombrandt, Kelly and Marchant against Canada.

Re: England vs USA - 4th July 2021
What is the point in starting Genge, Underhill and Slade exactly? I could understand if they were on the bench as the match will carry some ranking points, but surely EJ knows exactly what they offer by now. England should walk past the USA, and that's not being disrespectful, they're just very much a tier 2 side.

I guess that you learn less putting out a wholly inexperienced side than you do putting out a side with a few older heads to guide and help the new starters

Bringing new caps along supported by experience seems the right way to go - avoids any "Tour from Hell" scenarios!

Congratulations to Heyes and Steward on their debut Caps.
Interesting starting half back pairing for England , potentially an axis for the future.
