Could play anywhere across the front row and had loose lips
Would that be a certain front rower who is now located across the western border?
It is interesting. one of my friends was talking with our magical Australian winger during the week and he tried to get on to signings. All he got from him was an "it's more than my life is worth to tell you. Besides which it would be unprofessional.'
18 months ago it was a free for all.
That is music to my ears because.
1. The club seem to be trusting players with information (otherwise they'd just shrug and say I dunno anything)
2. The trust in players seems not to be mistrusted.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Fissler seemed to have some good contacts a few years ago and broke some rumours that turned out to be true but more recently he's just been throwing s*** at the wall and hoping something sticks.
To be honest I reckon being a prize plum has probably alienated most of the contacts he had and left him with little to no inside info.
It seems to be more cold reading.
Guess a few things with no specifics and when something broadly along those lines, like
"Soon to be out of contract player's agent talks to other clubs...." the odds are some will leave and some won't but a
"That's what I thought" goes a long way to to give the impression you knew.
Well good luck to him. Glad he's secured another club even if it is abroad. Let's hope he gets the game time he deserves and comes back to the Prem or Championship in a couple of years.
I think Borthwick is a bit more up front with youngsters about their prospects and doesn't keep them dangling as squad players getting little game time.
Players need to play to develop and simply training with the squad isn't enough - those he sees as likely may go on loan, those less likely seem to move on, which is fair enough.
Surprised by that move if honest. Thought he'd be picked up by another Premiership club. Good luck though Sam, hopefully he uses this opportunity as a springboard!

Hoping we are trying to sign Dan Lancaster having watched the U20's.
We must also look quite an attractive proposition for a new young fly half. Only 2 senior fly halves, one involved with England, it seems like there will be chances to put your name in the hat for selection and with a coach who has shown young lads are picked if they earn it.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
I haven't seen the England Under 20 game but I agree that young Lancaster is exactly the sort of player we should be looking at. It is a shame that Sam Costello felt he had to leave when he did to further his international ambitions but Lancaster could be an ideal replacement. Maybe his Dad fancies a coaching job?

Did he play 10 or 12 Vs France?
He played 12, Worcester’s Finn Smith played 10 (and played very well too - nice partnership with JVP).
Lancaster carried well, tackled well. Can’t specifically remember any kicking but having watched him previously his kicking out of hand and from the tee is strong also.

Both Smith and Lancaster impressed me in that game would be happy with either/both
