Sarries appeal, awarded a 20-0 win & 5 points for the missed game (same as points awarded in the European comps). They top the regular season table.
Sarries then have a few test positive. Means they miss playing one of the two legs of the final that leg is then by historical precedent (based on their own appeal) given as a win to Ealing by 20-0, other leg is a Sarries win by 19 points.
Without the appeal the missed playoff leg is 0-0, with a successful appeal, a "guilty" Covid club may have a points difference to make up in the other playoff leg.

Re: Championship rugby
Coventry are doing well this year, I wonder if Louis Deacon will end up in the Premiership as a head coach, I guess he may have to perhaps be a specialist coach first if Cov don't make the step up(that's assuming they are not blocked by ring fencing of course).

I’m interested in who takes over at Nottingham now Neil Fowkes is moving to Wasps. Are there any recently retired Tigers who want to cut their teeth coaching in the Championship, given the close link between the clubs ?
Re: Championship rugby
And Sarries appeal threat has led to the Championship bottling their final decision! Really detest this club and their cheek

Re: Championship rugby
Has it?
Or did Ealing say they wanted the first leg at home, and Saracens say they wanted the second so it was a moot point?
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!

Re: Championship rugby
Ant Allen has retired from rugby coaching and gone into something else so probably not him. Can't see Murphy taking it when he'll get paid more for easy media work. Smith is head coach of our academy and being involved in the first team, that first team thing will probably end but he'll probably get a role with he A team next season and remain academy head coach.westwinds31 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 5:56 am I’m interested in who takes over at Nottingham now Neil Fowkes is moving to Wasps. Louis Deacon could go from forwards coach at Cov to the main job at Notts. The permanently injured Jaco Taute has apparently been the unofficial assistant defence coach helping Mike Ford so could perhaps take a step out into coaching though that would be a big step up. Wigglesworth has coached at that level and I think Fowkes was splitting the job Notts head coach and assisting at Wasps so there could be some flexibility but don't know if enough.
Anyone know what happened to Ollie Smith? He started coaching and then left Escher under a cloud not been seen since.
Richard Hill is leaving Rouen to come back to England and be closer to family though I would have thought he might be too expensive for Notts. Might do as our backs coach though.
Re: Championship rugby
Yes,according to rugbypass Sarries have flexed their muscles and the threat of appealing has led to Sarries playing their home leg second. It will be one of the best days of my rugby life if Ealing can pull the win off!

So am I right in thinking he worked with our newest coaching recruit Leigh Jones during his time there? Possibly strengthening ties there?westwinds31 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 10:06 am Craig Hammond confirmed as new Nottingham Head Coach - currently coaching Hong Kong Mens XV. Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
