No issue with them after the game....they have given a good effort and taken things seriously during the game......

Mercer knew what he was he’s doing, getting in Heyes’ way and all that. I don’t think what Wiese did was that stupid.

I’m more angry about the penalty afterwards, what more could the player have done to roll away! :smt013

I don’t know why we went to the corner more to be honest, especially with that last pen, kill time and put the pressure on to put them away, but no we go to the sticks and invite Bath to win the game back.

Oh well Saints up next.
Hopefully Liebenberg is available, missed his control IMO.

Thought Genge had his best game in a while.

The players don't look too upset considering what's just happened.
I thought that, quite a few smiles form our players.
Just stupid. Wiese doesn’t get involved chances are we see out a very well deserved win and stay above Bath and climb up to 6th! We deserved that game, we’d won that game and then we threw the game away. Scott should never have been offside, Heyes shouldn’t be getting involved at the lineout shoving the Bath player and Wiese and Heyes were stupid to do what they did. Just completely unnecessary and instead of 6th we are now in 8th. 3 points dropped.. let’s see how costly those are come the end of the season!

I agree we are getting ahead of ourselves, a good effort but more work to be done to develop the whole team. Don't want to be in the playoffs this year. Beating Bath in the cup final will feel much sweeter.

I mean how do you want them to react?
Crying in the corner? punching Bath players?
I don't expect them to be laughing and joking with the Bath players.
The game is over at the final whistle. Traditionally you'd go for a pint with the opposition.
You go for a drink usually an hour or so after the game. I just felt that the players didn't look particularly disappointed in the direct aftermath despite the importance of the game and the fact we chucked it away. A few looked surprisingly relaxed about it all. Just my opinion.

Players really shouldn't get hung up about it IMO.
It's a easy lesson.
Sometimes it's better to just live and learn than dwell on the past. It's not like we was smashed or anything.

Doesn't work for fans though

Got to say, still happy with that, to lose by 1 to the, if you believe Larry and Ugo, the best team in the prem that isn't Bristol or Chiefs, and largely through crooked TMO-ship. As it has ever been we have to be whiter than white, obeying not only the laws in the book but also the ones the officials come up with on the day.

Weise was a bit silly but they'd been at the same all game so I can see why he would think its OK, hopefully lesson learned, you can't get away with anything in our shirt...

No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Yep, I was thinking the same about Gengey too. I was beginning to get a bit concerned, but that was much more like it today.

Good performance from the lads again today, dominated up front... was very surprised there wasn't even a warning yet alone a yellow card to one of the Bath props. Bit silly from Heyes and Weise towards the end but neither are penalties. Rowan Kitt definitely has something against us! Didn't chirp up ones for any of the neck rolls on our players.

COYT... looking forward to Saints next week

Ford, Reffell, Muri, Steward and both starting and ending front rows were immense today. Sadly Martin tried to hard and gave some silly pens away, taking Genge, Kelly and Reffell off also lost the flow and foot hold we had.

As for Bath Mercer was outstanding, beast of a player!!

In order to get our physicality side back we got our nasty side back.
It's something we need to work on but I do feel the short term liability will become a long term benefit

Dropped 3 points today because of it, but our general progress has been down to it also
