Never called anything like that a rugby incident, that’s an Illegal act of foul play, nothing accidental at all. The fact that you are sticking up for him is shocking, really bad form mate!Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:15 pmPretty sure you have called them Rugby Incidents....Scott1 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:06 pm https://twitter.com/AndyGoode10/status/ ... 88903?s=20

As he gave AWJ a black eye thought he would be your best mate...Scott1 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:16 pmNever called anything like that a rugby incident, that’s an Illegal act of foul play, nothing accidental at all. Not sticking up for him but where else does he tackle him? There was far worse this weekend, Sale's on field behaviour is very "un rugby", it is unfortunately a horrible trait brought into the English game by Saracens if it starts creeping in at Tigers I will have to reassess my support.
To win is not as important as playing with style!
Re: Other European Last 16 Ties
So diving over a ruck with no wrap ,shoulder to head is a "tackle" these days?!

Re: Other European Last 16 Ties
On a serious note this is where the players union and the RFU should take a lead, there were many head contact situations over the WE that went unpunished, the whole purpose of the rash of red cards we have seen in England this season is, we are told to reduce head trauma and make the game safer, if the European competitions cannot work to the same levels of safety the RFU should step in and remove their permission for players associated to the RFU from competing in European cup competitions
All players from all countries deserve the same level of protection, the RFU do have an established duty of care and cannot walk away from that.

Re: Other European Last 16 Ties
Surely as a minimum it should have been a penalty for playing the 9 before he gets the ball out?
But yeah, look reckless and citable to me.

Re: Other European Last 16 Ties
The officials decided that the ball was out of the ruck and Faff had his hands on it, right arm under body left arm over the top therefore deemed to have attempted to wrap. If faff had stood up and played the ball immediately and not tried to buy a cheap penalty by looking over the ruck and trying to draw players offside he wouldn't have been tackled that close to the ground. Players have a duty of care to themselves as well as to others. Not the best tackle but certainly the officials made their decision and, even if it was wrong players need to respect it. Faff appealing to the AR is just another symptom of what is wrong in the game
now as it seems players can't just get on with the game and let the officials do their jobs.

Not for me,full on assault. Watch the Twitter link, shoulder to head,no attempt at wrapping. Hopefully the citing officers do their job

I think as a player you should be perfectly entitled to politely draw the officials attentions to an incident that has occurred and/or to seek clarification as to what they have seen. Not constantly of course but certainly if you have received a nut to your noggin as an example. And of course we now have the TMO so ample opportunity to check if need be. What I think none of us like is the gesticulation and constant in the ear stuff.GETHIN EXILE wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:25 pm Not the best tackle but certainly the officials made their decision and, even if it was wrong players need to respect it. Funny how these Welsh fans are bemoaning players badgering the ref when they have Biggar and AWJ in their midst

Re: Other European Last 16 Ties
...and when the crowds are back, we won't hear that stuff, just the referee/TMO. The Bordeaux v Bristol game was one of the worst I've watched for back chat and appealing. It was almost as though the players/coaches had microphones fitted because you could hear everything. In fact, that Bristol game got to the point where everything was being reviewed, which was ridiculous.I'm sure it happens in every game but that one stood out for me. I don't mind Faff appealing for that one, but the officials missing it makes it a trial by social media/slow motion replay, with everyone chipping in with their different angle, zoomed in and magnified picture shots. Then you get the "if you think that was bad, what about this one ?"....cue another slo-mo "illegal hit" from another game that wasn't picked up.ourla wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 2:07 pmI think as a player you should be perfectly entitled to politely draw the officials attentions to an incident that has occurred and/or to seek clarification as to what they have seen.
