The skill level compared to the GP is ridiculous! It’s like watching rugby in fast forward

Damn, missed this as I’ve been sulking about Sky not showing the live games. Are these highlights on every week ? Is Tait fit ? What time does the bar open ? Is Wentzel fit ? Etc etc !

Re: Super Rugby 2021
Waratahs 22 Brumbies 24.
Brumbies down to 13 with Waratahs a 5m scrum. Despite an obvious numerical advantage they go down the blindside to score the try and set up a touchline conversion for the draw. No idea why with a scrum in the 15m line they didn't dummy the blindside and then spin it the other way and try to get an easier angle for the kick. Their kicker missed the touchline conversion to draw the game.

https://youtu.be/xb0uAuv4ocQ Blues get back to winning ways over the Hurricanes, I’m sure plenty of fans will be upset with the penalty try call against the Canes and I think some Blues fans will be disappointed that they were never rewarded at the breakdown.

Re: Super Rugby 2021
have our 2 loanees played much yet?
Re: Super Rugby 2021
Jordan Olowofela made his debut off the bench for Western Force last weekend for the final 15 mins or so against Brumbies. Force had a bye this week so opportunity for a possible second cap until next weekend; away to Rebels.
George Worth hasn't appeared for Melbourne Rebels yet. (Apparently George is a dual UK/Australian citizen, which I didn't realise until today.)

Re: Super Rugby 2021
Last-minute wins in Super Rugby AU with the Western Force ending Melbourne Rebels’ hopes of a finals sport with a 15-16 victory, whilst the Queensland Reds secured the home final with a 24-22 victory.
Meanwhile in Aotearoa, the Chiefs, thanks to the boot of Damian McKenzie, got a 23-26 victory with the golden point whilst the Crusaders stretch their lead at the top of the table with a 27-30 triumph in Wellington against the Hurricanes, again with the golden point*.
*For those who don’t know, one of the laws being trialled (and carried on from Aotearoa 2020) in both Trans-Tasman competitions is in the event of a draw, there is 10 minutes of extra-time and the first team to score points on the board (i.e. the golden point) will win the game. It’s a similar rule that they have in the NRL.

Two upsets this weekend in Aotearoa with the Chiefs pipping the Crusaders at home today and yesterday an ill-disciplined Blues were beaten by the Highlanders.

A try from our very own Jordan Olowofela helps the Force to a home win over the Tahs: https://youtu.be/021uulc8aI8

Not quite. In SR-AU, they are trialling "golden try", where the only winner in extra time is if you score a try. If no try is scored in extra time, the result remains a draw.

Re: Super Rugby 2021
Nice to see him keep working round for that and remaining and option coming from the blindside for the 10. Nice little jink to stand up the last defender and ensure that he had an easy run in. Looks like he may have added a little muscle to his frame as well. Hopefully he'll come back brimming with confidence and looking to add something. I think Borthwick might give him one last chance to comeback and stake a claim.JP14 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 2:14 pm A try from our very own Jordan Olowofela helps the Force to a home win over the Tahs: https://youtu.be/021uulc8aI8
