Ireland sealed off and were in at the side all game, but probably deserved the win on balance of the lineout and winning the ball in the air.

Both sides were going in the side all game, playing the ref obviously, both sides were flopping on top of the ruck, seems to be a disease of the modern game, Exeter do it all day too.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

That well known Jock, Duhan van der Merwe, is 6'4" and apparently pushing 17 stone!
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

The difference between Tigers today being nip ant tuck in the final few minutes and England actually winning a close game was the fact that Mr Farrell slots everything from everywhere, pretty much all the time.
Not sure on that one.
He is not as good a kicker as Ford and came close to losing the Autumn international against France by missing repeatedly and refusing to hand over.
That was true in one game. But if you're going to use one game to argue a point. I'll take the 2nd highest points scorer in English rugby history as my benchmark. To think England have used Farrell for so long who 'is not as good a goal kicker as Ford'. Presumably it's just to even up the contest with their opponents?
No it is just the fixed ideas Jones has.
I stand by my assertion that Ford is a better kicker and having seen him kick week in week out at Welford Road many would concur. Ford’s range wasn’t as long as Farrells’ but we have seen that extend over the past 3 or 4 years.
The really long kick in the AI against France should have been taken by a Daly and after looking out of sorts in his first few kicks Farrell as captain should have been ruthless with himself and handed over to Ford. Leadership is also about knowing when to delegate not just leading from the front.

To be fair I think that's the best I have seen Ireland play under Andy Farrell so far.

I suppose that 'fixed idea' that Jones has must come from him and his coaching team watching them in training, looking at the data they have and deciding "right boys, lets go with our second best goal kicker in this match and lets keep on doing it. Match after match." That's elite coaches for you.

Well they have played their “World Cup Final” against England and won which is all they care about to be honest.

I have two Scottish friends who both agree that they only care about beating England and that’s why they will never win anything

He's almost as big as me, though to be fair he is a tad quicker lol.

I live in Scotland and my Scots rugby playing friends say the very same thing to me, even if it's only tiddlywinks, they have to beat the English, anybody else really doesn't matter to them.

You could see the hand of O'Connell all over that performance, he may not have been on the pitch, but he led that side from the dressing room.
