Tom and Scott loan Tigers money
Leicester Tigers' two major shareholders have loaned the club three million pounds.
BBC Radio Leicester Sport understands this is to act as a "bridging loan" while they wait for government money to help manage Tigers' cashflow
Peter Tom and Tom Scott have invested the cash after the club announced they would no longer be taking money from season ticket holders for the rest of the season, and would be transferring the money to next season's games.
Thank you both. You get some stick by fans and you didn’t need to do this so thank you.

Would echo the sentiments of the opening post.

It is good to hear. Fans can still donate this season's season ticket money rather than port it over to next season. The option was right at the end of the email and I wondered if people would miss it. I guess the club did not want to make it the first option thinking they can only ask so much of season ticket holders.

They may not be the owners the fans want, they may not always make the right calls, but they are at very least passionate about the club. Yes I do disagree with them at times, but at least I know they are attempting to do what they think is right thing for the club.

To my mind it has never been in question. You don't invest in a rugby union club in order to get rich. You do it for the love of the game and the club in particular.
Clearly they can afford to do it but never-the-less deserve our thanks. Well done.

Yes I echo everyone else's thoughts, Tom's and Scott's commitment to the club's survival cannot be doubted over this past year and us fans cannot thank them enough for ensuring that when the world does return to rights, there's a rugby club for all of us to flock back to.

You cannot fault the commitment to the financial stability of the club & would rather the "Owners" to have genuine interest in the club & game & Tom certainly has that.
As for some of the decisions over recent years, (away from basic money) they can only be described as not great, if I am charitable...

I'm fortunate to have spent a little time on zoom calls with PT recently. I love his commitment to the club. His worst recent decision in his and my mind was the one he took a few years back to take a more passive role in the club - this coincided with a lot of the issues he gets blamed for on here.
he is back involved fully and driving the club hard as he did in his business days - a lot of undoing the wrongs is going on and it's painful - but nobody should doubt his character and commitment to getting tigers back to where he and we all feel we belong.

I am intrigued why PT has never used his influence from the Breedon days to get a freight locomotive named "Leicester Tigers", the sinners have one named after them, so why not us?

There is a rather different take on this on the unofficial website, which is worth reading.
