Not really we spent about half the first half in the Sale 22 but wasted repeated chances. In pretty sure Wigglesworth wasn't coached to throw awful floated passes that led to all the points we conceded in the first half.

So you think the tactics are working

Have we had territory and possession? Yes lots. Have we had plenty of lineout drives in their 22? Yes many. Phases in their 22? Yes lots.

At some point you have to point the finger at the players for not being clinical enough and taking their chances.

Sale are there for the taking, but we need to make smarter use of the territory. Oh, and probably ask Henry to stop with these dibble dobble kicks.

Probably a fair reflection on where we are, still reasonably early stages of a significant refurbishment (if not a full rebuild). The important thing is the flashes we're seeing now aren't individual moments of individual brilliance but moments of team cohesion and excellence. We're nit even close to the destination yet but we're on the way, after a few years stuck still.

Bit tricky being a scavenging 7 when the ball is in the air all night. He has been no worse than the other back rowers.

Agreed. The players have to take responsibility for this. When it's not going well it's time to take a breath and get your skills more accurate, not panic and make them worse.

He's been average. Some out the box ones but he has been mainly consistent.

Watching a different game to me I’m afraid so we are never going to agree. I don’t see much 22 penetration - I see us getting 30 metres out and continually kicking to the Nadolo vs McGuigan wing. Although to be fair I turned over at 60 mins as I put dinner on the table as the Mrs won’t eat dinner whilst I watch rugby/swear at the TV . Having said that - for the first 60 mins we could have done so much more with our possession.
