Re: Sale game moved - Teams up
The only positive from tonight is that Bath are getting humped and my Bath loving friends are so very silent...small mercies this evening.
There is never any points for 2nd place...

If Henry is kicking because he is instructed to do so, then in my opinion, if we lose, Borthwick needs to hold his hands up

Have we had territory and possession? Yes lots. Have we had plenty of lineout drives in their 22? Yes many. Phases in their 22? Yes lots.Greenwhiteandred wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:05 pmSo you think the tactics are workingsam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:03 pmNot really we spent about half the first half in the Sale 22 but wasted repeated chances. At some point you have to point the finger at the players for not being clinical enough and taking their chances.

Not the reason we are losing but is Tempest the worst ref? He can’t make a decision and the ones he does are insane

Yup, cursed it, sorry everyone. I promise from here on out to make Scott1 look like the eternal optimist...Crofty wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 8:38 pmProbably a fair reflection on where we are, still reasonably early stages of a significant refurbishment (if not a full rebuild). The important thing is the flashes we're seeing now aren't individual moments of individual brilliance but moments of team cohesion and excellence. We're nit even close to the destination yet but we're on the way, after a few years stuck still.
(You watch, I'll have cursed it now... )
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Bit tricky being a scavenging 7 when the ball is in the air all night. He has been no worse than the other back rowers.Greenwhiteandred wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:20 pmThat’s because he was anonymous - kind of proves my point don’t you thinkWayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:17 pmWell when he only plays for 44 minutes....Greenwhiteandred wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:16 pm I’m a big fan of Reffel but he’s been anonymous tonight.

Agreed. The players have to take responsibility for this. When it's not going well it's time to take a breath and get your skills more accurate, not panic and make them worse.

Consistently bad, but not in a biased way.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:24 pmHe's been average. Some out the box ones but he has been mainly consistent.

Re: Sale game moved - Teams up
Watching a different game to me I’m afraid so we are never going to agree. I don’t see much 22 penetration - I see us getting 30 metres out and continually kicking to the Nadolo vs McGuigan wing. Although to be fair I turned over at 60 mins as I put dinner on the table as the Mrs won’t eat dinner whilst I watch rugby/swear at the TV . Having said that - for the first 60 mins we could have done so much more with our possession.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 9:20 pmHave we had territory and possession? Yes lots.
