Re: Sale game moved
For Sale also the cancellation of the European matches means that Daniel Du Preez who had a 3 playing match ban imposed on him will not be eligible for the Tigers game , having sat out the Worcester game the two European matches v Edinburgh and v Toulon were cancelled so Daniel has two more playing matches to sit it out.
Similarly Ed Slater late of this Parish! Too has only sat out one of his four playing match ban as he sat out v Newcastle but Ulster and Lyon were cancelled and the Northampton game this weekend. So Ed has a lot of time left on the naughty step. These are on the RFU disciplinary reports.

Re: Sale game moved
Sale will be missing a lot of 'stars' but they may have Jean-Luc back from injury.
Sanderson had this to say re Friday:
There’s been a spike of energy around Carrington this week, probably because there’s a new voice in town and we’ve tweaked a few things, but I’m hoping that will transfer to the field in terms of our intensity on Friday. Borths (Steve Borthwick) has done a great job at Leicester so far, looking at the Bath game as an example, they were very intense and built really well throughout the game. Ford was exceptional, and they may miss his tactical kicking this weekend, but that wasn’t what won them the game, it was their tactical intensity throughout the whole 80 minutes. We have to match that on Friday. I think they are getting back to that ‘Old Leicester’ mentality where they challenge you at every opportunity, and that’s what we will have to deal with effectively.
Can't wait

Re: Sale game moved
That statement alone from Sanderson shows how astute he is and Sale, with him at the helm should get into the top four. He will have Sale more than ready to face whatever we throw at them. Maybe not having Ford playing might mean we too know everyone has to step up their performance from the Bath game. We certainly cannot afford to start slowly and have to play with intensity for the whole game.

Re: Sale game moved
Surprised McPhillips is on the bench.
Good team though.

Re: Sale game moved
Answers the question as to whether Wiggs has served his time.
Good to see Reffell getting a start. I really rate him for a big future.

Re: Sale game moved
Strong team, not sure about the 6-2 split but we'll see.
Also I thought De Bruin was primarily a tighthead who can play Loosehead, we'll see how that ends up.
A lot of faith here in Henry with McPhillips on the bench.
Look forward to it

Re: Sale game moved
Sale team:
Bevan Rodd continues to impress at loosehead prop and makes his 5th consecutive start for Sale alongside Akker van der Merwe and Will-Griff John in the front row. Cobus Wiese heads to the east midlands with a little more at stake than the rest of the squad as he goes toe to toe with his older brother Jasper for the first time in their careers.
The South African lines up alongside fellow countryman JP du Preez in what has become a familiar second row pairing for the Sharks so far this season. Jono Ross captains the side from blindside flanker and joins Sharks’ academy graduates Sam Dugdale and Josh Beaumont in the back row at openside and number 8 respectively.
Faf de Klerk and AJ MacGinty start in their ususal half back roles after a string of impressive performances together in the Gallagher Premiership so far this season. Sam James returns to the centres after a stint at fullback and is joined in an all-English centre pairing by powerhouse Sam Hill.
James’ younger brother Luke makes his first start of 2021 at fullback in an experienced back three alongside Marland Yarde and Byron McGuigan, with the Scotland winger making his first start for the Sharks since picking up a hamstring injury in August last year.

Neither Curry in the side for Sale.
Exciting looking Tigers side with considerable impact on the bench. Looking forward to seeing Montoya in a Tigers shirt
Should be a cracking game this one
