'The Ruck' speculates on Manu's future once more :

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2020-21
I would be gob smacked if Manu is even being considered for the Lions. There are many better options in the centers than him and far less injury-prone. In his day, he is one of the best in the world but his day has gone and many would argue went several years ago. I also think it is a nonsense question - the tour will not go ahead and the sooner that is established the better for the rest of this season.
Hehehehehehehehe

Manu will definitely be picked for the Lions if he proves his fitness,no doubt for me.

IF the Lions tour goes ahead and IF Manu is fit he will be in the squad. He can do things that no one else in Britain or Ireland can.
Ibitoye? No thank you. Better players out there with better attitudes. He's the sort of talented but not really committed mercenary we would have signed a few years ago.

Personally I think people are being harsh on Ibitoye.
The French press are doing the standard it’s not the French clubs fault but the English players, let’s be real Agen, are not a bad team cause of their winger. But it’s a good selling point and nice misdirection for those involved and the fact that the club’s president is saying these things I don’t blame him for wanting out, imagine what he doesn’t say to the press.

The French rugby press have said that Ibitoye was “far from being committed” to Agen, but he certainly wasn’t the only one. It must be a mighty long time since a Top14 side has lost 14 consecutive matches at the beginning of a new season, so morale would be at rock bottom knowing that relegation to ProD2 is a certainty. Having said that, the club he’s going to, Montpellier, aren’t exactly in a rich vein of form either, and find themselves one place above Agen in the relegation zone!RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 12:21 pm Personally I think people are being harsh on Ibitoye.

Like who? Henshaw and Ringrose are both good but not particularly exceptional (at international level) whilst Aki is billed as a power option he is easily nullified on the international stage. Jonathan Davies at Wales is just about clinging to his career with his undoubted skills ravaged by injury and age not on his side. Tompkins looks iffy defensively but good ball in hand, Williams looks solid but unspectacular and Watkins a squad player. Scotland have Grigg and Johnson who are good but better than Manu? Nope.trendylfj wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 11:16 am I would be gob smacked if Manu is even being considered for the Lions. England make room for Manu when he's available. He's got an X factor that few have. Yes he can blow hot and cold (in the same game) but up against the Boks you want physicality and someone capable of creating something off the cuff as well as making yards in the tight exchanges.
If Manu proves he's fit he walks onto the plane to SA (of there is one). He might even be a risk worth taking with tour games to prove his fitness before the tests.

Two further rumours from 'The Ruck' :
Firstly , Chris Ashton - options regarding his next potential move:

Secondly , a potential short term suitor for Danny Cipriani :

In my opinion, the options for Lions at centre this year are weaker than in 2009.

The Bath confirmation of Tian Schoeman paves the way for the departure of Rhys Priestland - his most likely destination being Cardiff if rumours are to be believed .

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2020-21
Considering Priestland is their only real experienced flyhalf they could still do with replacing him.
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2020-21
Bath have being trying to find a quality flyhalf since Ford left, maybe they are starting to regret not picking Burns more.
