There's been a lot of that. Not sure there's a TMO as Sam Simmonds led with an extending elbow straight into the head of a defender around halfway at one point. Seen similar checked a few times recently.

Excellent half from the boys. Scrapping for everything and making Chiefs fight for every metre. Exactly what we want to see. Lovely rolling maul try as well, proper Tigers effort.

Was saying all last season that Exeter are just not being reffed at the breakdown. They just fly in off their feet all the time

Surely if ref is taking the penalty across to another place he has to give defenders sufficient notice to allow them to move to defend the new position and not let them take a quick tap?

Did we send a different team down to LI? This looks like the team against Glos but nothing like last week :smt017

My thoughts exactly!

Please don't let this be like that thing England had a few years ago where they play at the level of the opposition of the day rather than consistently at their own...
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

No, just learning from what we did wrong maybe.

Hopefully last week was just a blip, a one off. Really good first half performance!

If we turn WR into a fortress again the away form will come
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Trouble is Chiefs look like they could score with every bit of possession, we palpably don't..yet we kick it to them.
Wigglesworth is painfully slow at the breakdown.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Great intensity, just what we needed. Think Reffell and JT will make a significant impact off the bench second half

We had a good first half for a change. Yet you choose to focus on the negatives.

Cole's defence has been awesome so far, made 4-5 dominant hits so far, as for Freddie he looks like a veteran prem player already not a 20 year old
