Not just rugby any competitive league, especially if they have a cap/limitations.

Aye..... The road to hell? The road to nowhere?
We're not going to win this one. No Remy. Just tongue pie and cold shoulder from her ladyship and mocking derision in the "One Eyed Turk".
......wait a minute..... I'll have to escape across the border to beefburger Ben's for a pint now the idiot Drakeford has banned alcohol.... Not too bad. It's the realm of the Shed Head and Posh Richard.

But what will you be watching? Is it on the red button as I cannot see it scheduled anywhere?ourla wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 11:19 am In some ways a free shot - after last weekends performances nobody will be expecting a Tigers win.
I would expect to see a reaction from the Tigers from Sunday but equally we will need one as Exeter are a bit of a runaway train at the minute.
I will be watching from behind the sofa.

Fiji v Georgia (Muri, Neman and Mamukashvilli) looks a more attractive fixture to meat this juncture!

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
Same back row again that didn’t really work against Irish, interesting. Can tell Borthwick went to the Eddie Jones school of coaching (and that’s by no means a bad thing).
Glad Simmons gets a chance on the wing I think he’s looked good in the few chances he’s got.

A very strong side even without all their internationals
God created rugby so footballers have heros too
Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I guess a heavy duty back row could work because the Chiefs don’t really jackal anymore, but nonetheless that doesn’t mean we still can’t do what we did last week and leave one-out runners exposed.

Yeh Looking at that Exeter's team the packs on paper are near carbon copies.
When Exeter have 2 6ft 5 18 stone + Flankers it might not be the worst thing to go again.
Simmonds is extremely quick but he isn't a 7.
If it works then IMO it will be because it's the only team to use a similar style of pack.
Will be interesting game though.
Last 2 times Tigers have started strongly
12 - 6 (Down)
22-14 (Up)
Only too get mullered in the second half.

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I like Porter as a player, but a wing he isn't, is there really not another winger who could of played there square pegs in the square holes!
Back row unbalanced last week so select the same one...madness.
Really dont get 6/2 splits, unless you have more flexibility in your 2 or run on backs.
That isn't the most frightening Chiefs side, but I have very low expectations for tomorrow.

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
When he signed it was as a wing/fullback/centre. Whitten on the other wing has similar attributes. He adds physicality to the backline which might help and I think the 6/2 bench split could be because everyone else is injured pretty much.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 12:36 pm I like Porter as a player, but a wing he isn't, is there really not another winger who could of played there square pegs in the square holes!

I get the big backrow but an actual openside to target the ball and try to slow them down would be ideal. Just take out some of the momentum. Big bruisers coming off the bench in the second half where Chiefs may be slightly stretched with a bench not at their normal high standard. Let's just hope the scrum and lineout work this week.
