The ref isn’t the reason we are losing but he’s certainly helping. Frustrating first half in every respect. Get JT on for Brink and Leatigaga on for Bower

Re: London Irish Away
To be fair the refs just allowed LI to turn the ball over for a player that's lying on top of the ball carrier. He's a disgraceful decision. Completely incompetent from the referee, it is literally what world rugby are trying to cut out.
That being said we are carrying the ball in ones. Got to be in twos and threes. We are carrying it at pace at least but there's no place for the next phase because we are getting tackled having made a few metres and then waiting for someone to arrive an clear out. The clear out needs to arrive at the same time as the carrier hits the floor. Starts to open the opportunity for an offload and we haven't seen one of those all half.

Re: London Irish Away
Time after time Irish haven’t been rolling away and slowing the ball down. Coupled with some rubbish calls from the ref and no wonder we’ve found it difficult to get some momentum going.
Re: London Irish Away
Poor kicking, no chase. Steward v solid at the back - he's going to need to be. No meaningful aggression

Re: London Irish Away
We’re poor, Irish not much better, overall game drab, Dickson his usual self and the commentary team providing their usual dire standard.
Agree the call on Brink was wrong, but nothing can excuse that defensive cock-up.
Looks as though my concerns about the front row have brought fruit.

Dickson is hot on the whistle but is not why we are losing. Agree on the subs, need a bit more dynamism in the forwards, back row doesn’t seem to be working at the moment.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 5:02 pmThe ref isn’t the reason we are losing but he’s certainly helping. Re: London Irish Away
Awful 40 minutes from Tigers, London Irish won't get an easier 10 point half time lead all season.
Was Van Wyk taken off injured, or was it a (and I'll be kind here) tactical substitution?
Forget the referee, it's our own errors that are handing the game to Irish. Taufua on for Wiese, Reffell on for Brink, Leatigaga on for Bower - please.

Re: London Irish Away
Wiese not looking like he was last week. Couple of penalties and even a late looking shot in there too. Calm it down, more forward support and no one up runners and space will come available out wide
Re: London Irish Away
Reffell’s needed. Taufua won’t necessarily alter the breakdownOakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 5:02 pmThe ref isn’t the reason we are losing but he’s certainly helping. Frustrating first half in every respect. Get JT on for Brink and Leatigaga on for Bower

Said it was a groin injury, who knows.

Re: London Irish Away
Personally with 40 too go I would go with Reffell over Taufua and get him on to try and target that ball.
Leatigaga needs to come on soon if he is fit enough.
Hopefully Du Bruin will be available soon.
I wouldn't swap Wiese for Taufua yet.
Wiese still making meters with his runs even when he runs into 3 forwards/
But we need to grind that pack more and then get on Taufua.
