Whats happened to our back row, they are not winning the ball on the ground.
Maybe because we haven’t selected a 7

Irish try came from an absolutely rubbish penalty call from the ref, Brink with a good turnover and Cowan in at the side and we get pinged.
Some terrible calls so far

Sorry but what was that medic doing? why didn't he run away from play instead of in our line?

Billy Smart has joined our coaching team by the looks of things
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Breakdown will be tough.
Will be a good test of Brink as a 7, as the refs have been very aggressive at the breakdown, and with brink's chunkier build since the last time he covered openside it will be interesting, Cowan is very strong over the ball.

I am worried about the speed of the Irish backs, before the Gloucester game I said that the backs lack speed and are more route 1 runners and it proved to be in the game. Taute has struggled against players who can do that arching outside run and if OHC or Loader can get a bit of space from a Rona run then we might get into some trouble.
They also still have a route 1 runner in Meakes.

If Tigers can slow the breakdown enough to let us line up the back row against Jackson and the forward runners then that should hopefully tighten the window of a arching run round the back of 12.

So far my worries are coming to light.

Irish look distinctly average, we look worse.
Too many errors, lack of discipline and kicking the ball away too much.
Bower’s hips look way too high on setup at the scrum. Putting himself under pressure.

Listening to Monye, 5 minutes ago he was saying Irish are too one out, losing the collisions, now he’s saying they’ve been dominant all game in the collision.

Possibly because even when we do Sir pings us. LI's tackler rips the ball with no hint of release or whilst being on his feet and that's play on.

We've got to keep ball in hand and take the ref out of the equation. Stop the inaccuracies and just settle down and play. LI are quick and like broken field and disruption.

I feel we need to decide what are we wanting from Brink?
6/8
or
6/7

Because one requires a different condition than the other.

Knock on from Irish, caught by their player in front, should have been a penalty but of course not from Dixon.
