Didn't realise views would be so polarised. I thought it good to have an experienced scrum half to help with the youth whilst Lenny was away (Potentially) with England.

Box kick chase (or lack of it,) would be my worry.

As for signing a "sinner" I think we can be a bit two faced? Some in the coaching set up stated Jules was an animal after he nutted Wig at Brissel and would not be welcome at Tigers......... Then look what happened!

Take away Youngs, and young and inexperienced would be almost anyone’s view.

As hinted at on The Other Thread, my only minor cavil would be "is this where the money needs spending?". Standard caveats apply, I'm assuming the powers that be know that it is as I have no reason not to do so.

I have no qualms about his supposed sins at Sarries.

Since names have been mentioned, Callum Clarke or Paddy Jackson are not even in the same species when it comes to crimes. Those two are, in my view, support ending signings.

Playing for Sarries isn't the issue.
The salary cap applied the club not to individual players - they are there to get the best deal they can for themselves.

It's the major problem with breaching the rules for the Barbarians' game and the likely ban that worries me.

I guess he may well be hungry for work when the money men come chasing for the lost revenue from that match!

I do have qualms about him but I'm willing to give him a clean slate, but I will be watching him closely.

If either of those two ever arrive at Tigers you're right those are an entirely different proposition, and I sincerely hope that the club will never put supportes in a position to have to walk away from the club.

Can we recruit one having just made one redundant? Probably not. It would not sit well, or possibly even be legal.

Good signing imo. Will bring a culture of success very few in our squad have experienced which will hopefully rub off on the rest of the players.

As for those of you saying you want nothing to do with the club now, I assume you also turned your back on the club while we had players like Johnno, Julian White and Backy playing for us.

Welcome to Tigers. Wigglesworth will bring a much needed “ never say die” and winning mentality to the squad. We have some great young talent at scrum half but with Young’s and Ford away for a huge chunk of the season this is a sensible signing.
First priority is to get all the squad and their families through the Covid scare.

He slipped and fell and accidentally incorporated his own LLC to recieve the back handers did he? And that beer was during a deadly pandemic which would have put the entire England team and their families at risk if he hadn't been caught.

He was not responsible for reporting his salary to the league, if you get a company car are you responsible if your employer doesn't report that as part of your salary. He doesn't work in the finance department. He knows his salary and his benefits not the details of any cover up scheme.

In terms of the beer I'm not going to defend him, but he cocked up. Personally I'm willing (though it has taken some debate with myself to reach this point) to give him a chance just monitoring his behaviour. What I'd be a lot less happy with is if he's one of the ones who's also charged with providing a false report on what happened to the RFU, we will wait and see on that charge.

Hopefully pending charges have been taken into consideration in the contract...
