At 19 it take a year or two for him to develop physically enough for regular Premiership action. If we can get him game time on loan at a National Level club next season and Championship the year after with A league games (should they ever return) then that would be ideal.

Murimurivalu has NOT been selected for the Fijian squad according to Chris Edgerton on twitter, so looks like we'll have him with us through the autumn.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Good let’s keep him at 13 and alternate Scott and Taute at 12. That’s the way to go imoTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 8:41 am Murimurivalu has NOT been selected for the Fijian squad according to Chris Edgerton on twitter, so looks like we'll have him with us through the autumn.

I would like to see Nadolo at 12, Scott at 13.

Honestly, there a few positions Nadolo wouldn't excel in.
Perhaps too tall for the front row? Not quite agile enough for scrum half?

We need square pegs in square holes, consistency in selection so that combinations can form and supporters who you know actually support.
Nadolo is a winger, Scott is a 12, Henry is a 10

I largely agree with you Dunc, except I do feel that Nadolo doesn’t get the ball enough on the wing and he isn’t a kick chaser. I could see him causing carnage from 13, both with his running and offloading ability.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
I actually think Nadolo is the best kick chase option on the team. We have to kick it correctly for him though, long punts down field aren't worth it. The crossfield kick is a great option when he's going up for it because he's got a one handed catch in his locker and he's always going to be bigger than his opposite number. Ideally the crossfield kick goes over with him and Steward in the landing zone.
Nadolo I'm not sure has the acceleration for 13, that's a very hard position to defend. He's played international rugby at 12 and would deter anybody from coming down the 10/12 channel. Scott to 13.

Anyone who remembers his try versus England in 2015 will know he is good enough in the air, in fact that try is pretty much an exact replica of his relative Lote Tuquiri in the ‘03 final. Personally I think Ford is too used to having Jonny May chase his kicks, so, understandably, it will take some time to adapt.

Jasper Wiese started at No8 for the Cheetahs in the first match of Super Rugby Unlocked (basically the Currie Cup) which doesn’t end till the 21st November, does that mean he won’t be here till then or will he be able to join beforehand?

He’s contracted to join end of October.
Both Cheetahs and Tigers have confirmed that.

He was in his mid 20s then and not quite the colossus he is now. My only proviso to him playing 13 is if he can cut it in defence. 13 for me is preferable to 12 as he won’t have the back row lining him up.JP14 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 10:03 am Anyone who remembers his try versus England in 2015 will know he is good enough in the air, in fact that try is pretty much an exact replica of his relative Lote Tuquiri in the ‘03 final.
