Diamond will get away with whatever he's allowed to. Prem Rugby should be upholding the agreement signed by the clubs ie: 20-0 loss etc, that takes it out of the hands of those with a more vested interest!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 7:33 am Castre call off a European quarter final after just 3 tests and have to call off a game 2 weeks later as they're still getting positive tests...
Racing call off a domestic game after 9 test positive...
Sale have 16 positive tests and don't want to risk missing a domestic semifinal so say they still plan to fulfill the fixture...
Look I don't know the details but if the game goes ahead and any more test positive who play then Diamond should get the book thrown at him

Worcester released a statement late last night saying that nothing has been confirmed... this has Steve Diamond written all over it.
Wouldn’t be surprised if some Worcester players refused to play if Prem rugby try to force it through.
Seems crazy to even consider playing it.

What happens if Worcester refuse to play? Would you want to be in that scrum. I wouldn't. Game should be called off. Hope the sale players are OK

That's the problem with COVID- no respecter of rules.
Lay down as many rules as you like it wont play to them.
The season should not have gone ahead. Dead rubbers at the bottom. The top should have stayed as it were. Player welfare. What a load of Horse muck.
If the game goes ahead whos it benefitting. A play off late into the season followed by International duties and a new season.
I see more and more players and Officials testing positive and the new season being delayed. Watch this space.
Respect the COVID

Diamond et al get to say "We were willing to play and become the martyrs in all of this"
Even allowing for false positives etc, considering the possibilities and risks involved anyone with half a shred of decency and morality would have already pulled the plug on their team's participation, the risk of infection is way too great, and haven't we been told that player safety in all this is paramount? Maybe not if the feet are being dragged over a simple decision.
I'm sure we'll be told they're all young, fit, healthy, probably asymptomatic and likely to 'pull through' but, still infected with a hazardous viral infection (consequences vary person to person).
I hope they all recover well and quickly, that their families are not affected by this and that common sense prevails (along with some rules) and Wuss are not forced into a high(er) risk situation needlessly, all for the sake of 'sportsmanship' (money).
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Where Diamond is concerned it amazes you he is tolerated, numerous bans but still loved by the media...a bit like a certain rule breaking team in North London.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

I would've thought that the source to the players should be traced before any matches can be played.

I don't profess to be any type of medical authority , but in my ignorance and stupidity I just cannot perceive - given the current situation - how this match can take place.
Reading the BBC report on the subject , it seems that Worcester also have some reservations :

S Diamond has the ego of an American President. Where is that said President and how is he feeling right now.?
"COVID - 19 will never get to these shores" "Face masks Oh you're being Politically correct"
And if the Prem allow this game to happen they prove to be sycophants to another bully.
Rant over

I have to say, while I would be thoroughly disappointed if Sale get to play their game now, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Diamond will be insufferable otherwise and PRL seem to be scared of him making a fuss...
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?
non possumus capere

Best looking back line yet. (On paper at least).
Also interested to see how that back row goes.
