Tuilagi and May leaving seems like it might have been a wise move in regards to next season.

I feel like a lot of teams hopes will rest on Eddie's selectionsRagingBull wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:02 pm Tuilagi and May leaving seems like it might have been a wise move in regards to next season.

That's very interesting. As long as Ben White doesn't get called up we'll be pretty well stocked for the international window for the first time in ages. Especially if Moroni and Montoya arrive sharpish.

Re: Fixtures for 2020/21 announced
Guess we will be without Genge, Youngs and Ford for that period. The England players could actually end up missing more than 11/14 as they are guaranteed two weeks off at some stage after the autumn internationals as part of their new pay deal. That could mean missing a few more Europe or Premiership games.
Think other clubs will suffer far more than us but the likes of Worcester, Newcastle and Irish being the clubs to profit as they will lose very few. Could make for an interesting more-balanced season that may be very hard to call.
Agree that we are better placed than previous seasons. White and Henry will be a great half back pairing and should stand us in good stead during that period. The Autumn Nations Cup and Rugby Championship will likely be another period where we will lose a few extra but for the 6N our team will look something like:
15 Freddie Steward
14 Kini Murimurivalu
13 Guy Porter
12 Mattias Moroni
11 Nemani Nadolo
10 Zack Henry
9 Ben White
1 Facundo Gigena
2 Tom Youngs
3 Dan Cole
4 Tomás Lavanini
5 Calum Green
6 Cyle Brink
7 Jordan Taufua
8 Hanro Liebenberg
Replacements:
16 Charlie Clare or Mamu
17 Joe Heyes
18 Nephi Leatigaga
19 Blake Enever or Harry Wells
20 Jasper Wiese or Luke Wallace
21 Harry Simmons
22 Joaquin Diaz Bonilla
23 Kobus Van Wyk or Harry Potter
Reserves: Scott, Lewis, Martin, Reffell (if not selected by Wales)

Re: Fixtures for 2020/21 announced
Montoya coming is no sure thing as he's not yet signed (originally was planned to have him 21/22 season to replace OTY), on the main squad transfer page someone has suggested he may be going to Western Force, so if that has legs unless it's a one season deal we may not see him at allCitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:19 pmThat's very interesting. Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Good to see some winnable games in the first 5 fixtures.
A tough start could have been a bit of a confidence killer. Fingers crossed we can get some momentum and positivity going in those early games.

I expect we'll be glad we picked up Bonilla with that schedule.
Re: Fixtures for 2020/21 announced
I'm not sure if we will lose Youngs or Ford, if Eddies been watching their form it is not good and others are doing well, ie Joe Simmonds, etc etc.

Don't forget Cole probably won't be playing for England.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:33 pm Guess we will be without Genge, Youngs and Ford for that period. Plus Matt Scott isn't a shoe in for Scotland either, not been capped in 3 years so with him we'll just have to see.ads wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 1:19 pmDon't forget Cole probably won't be playing for England.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:33 pm Guess we will be without Genge, Youngs and Ford for that period. He withdrew the "to WF" and said he hadn't seen it anywhere - so he is still linked firmly to usTigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:41 pmMontoya coming is no sure thing as he's not yet signed (originally was planned to have him 21/22 season to replace OTY), on the main squad transfer page someone has suggested he may be going to Western Force, so if that has legs unless it's a one season deal we may not see him at allCitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 12:19 pmThat's very interesting.
