Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

I guess you look at it depending on what subscriptions you have. I have Amazon Prime and so I am over the moon about it (assuming that there were no terrestrial channels that could put in a reasonable bid). Currently have neither Sky (not had it for years) or BT Sport (ditched that pre lockdown when I moved from BT Broadband and the cost became more than I am willing to pay for the amount of sport I watch) and so picking either of them would not be good for me. Amazon are doing a decent job with the Tennis so no real concern from me.

Not really any different to this being shown on any other subscription service like Sky or BT.
£8 a month and then cancel if you don't want to carry on with it. Assuming you have a smart TV or mobile device to watch it on.
Yes I think all international should be on free to air TV, but every one need the money at the moment...

Personally I think its great move and hopefully we'll see them come in and own the market.
The irony that the monopoly commission that insists on rights being broken up actually only end up punishing the consumer.
I was surprised that BT didn't try and dip their toe into the international water.

All over within 2 months so hopefully £14 will cover it

There’s a huge difference to it being on Sky (£33/nth just for sport) or BT (£20ish per month); Prime actually offers very decent value for money! I easily cover the Prime monthly subscription costs in P&P and the petrol/parking charges alone.

It’s not rocket science.
There are items I (and I guess a lot of people) buy on Amazon that I’d otherwise probably have to go out to buy.
Remember that this £8 per month covers sport, TV, films, music and your free delivery.
Anyone saying it’s not good value for money is frankly bonkers!

I agree, it is, indeed good value! I see now how you have quantified itHot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 6:07 pmIt’s not rocket science.

Yeah that's kind of what I meant really. No different to paying for other services but actually this is cheaper and only for 2 months if you don't want the delivery stuff. I thought the OP was saying it's bad that it's on Amazon as its another pay wall, rather than terrestrial tv.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 4:45 pmThere’s a huge difference to it being on Sky (£33/nth just for sport) or BT (£20ish per month); Prime actually offers very decent value for money! Films on prime are rubbish though, anything decent you have to pay extra for...
