if the breakdown is going to be reffed like that consistently it will make games more fun to watch for sure, Sale were terrible
As they said in commentary, in Super Rugby the first few games there were loads of penalties but things settled down after that initial flurry.
Tom Curry was excellent tonight I thought. Looked like he’d bulked up but still a pain at the breakdown. Great for England.

yes I wasn't saying there will be lots of penalties but that players will adjust and the ball will be in play more

Sale No 10 and front row are Championship standard. Thats their massive weakness.

I thought Tom Curry was the best player on the field and some of the Sale new players were very poor De Jager in particular. I also thought the official had a good game
Hehehehehehehehe

I thought Rob du Preez looked isolated. He normally has Sam James as a secondary playmaker, last night with Hill and Manu he not only had no secondary playmaker he had no one who was likely to pass to the winger.

Quins were on it, I reckon Flannery will be a good coaching addition.
Agreed!

Akker van der Merwe needs to work on his throwing, Marler and the impressive Kerrod took the Sale front row (which would have been an all international front row had the Wales game gone ahead in March and Willgriff John got his cap) apart.
Thought Landago and Smith worked brilliantly and showed excellent control, that coupled with an impressive lineout meant that Quins saw out the game.
Nice to see the England coaching team were allowed to watch, they have a lot of travelling and watching to do between now and October.

Yes the Quins line out and maul was very well drilled.
I thought it was quite funny that Quins employed the rush on the outside which worked and is exactly what some on here often accused Manu of doing for Leicester.
I think Sale will get better though, and likely need match fitness more than a team in Quins mould.
Leicester could do Exeter similarly today if Leicester are on it and Exeter are only as ready as Sale were.
