Not straight away then........
Bit like Moroni and the Jaguares we don’t really know when that is.

Montoya
Wiese
Hopefully a new Loosehead.

What would it really need next?
That would be the beefing up I think we need. Those three players would round off the pack nicely.

Backs I'm fine with.

Agree Whitcombe needs more senior rugby in lower leagues first. He's not yet 20 so there's no rush with him. Dimen we can start feeding some game time to. Shame Notts have got three looseheads for next season as they'd have been the ideal place for Whitcombe to go on loan. Perhaps Dimen could get experience there though. I'm unsure how they are fixed for tightheads past Heffernan.

If there's spare cap after that then keep the money aside in case a player becomes available unexpectedly. Never know when an opportunity might present itself.

No more, maybe brought his announcement forward as Cheetahs have already announced it...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Think the clubs hand was forced with announcing it today, seeing as the Cheetahs put it out there for all to see. Wouldn't be expecting any more today personally.

Bit like Moroni and the Jaguares we don’t really know when that is.
I would imagine there are ongoing efforts behind the scenes for both of them to be released from those obligations early. The donor clubs will want to move on too with squads that represent the future of their respective clubs; hangers-on pending release do little for the team dynamic if they have decent substitutes.

Agreed it’s also about how much rugby they are going to play in those countries during the current pandemic

I see that Saturday's game is being billed as Ben Lam's last for the Canes ahead of his move to France. Interestingly - and surprisingly - Van Wyk isn't in the squad at all. No word of injury. As the song goes, will he say or will he go?

Compared to Moroni in Argentina, given where they are through the season I can imagine they'll plan to keep Van Wyk till the end of their season, Moroni leaving early when the Jaguares have no clear indication of when and what rugby they'll play next will want players wages off thei books ASAP, they'll just be seeing if any clubs are actually desperate enough to pay a severance fee for them first.

I don't get why people say 20th new signing if you inculde promotion of the academy.
Who includes academy promotion to the senior development squad as a new signings....

If anything the COVID Five leaving has almost done us a favour..... we’ve got a much better squad than the previous seasons...... I wonder how rivals have viewed our recruitment?

Wouldn't mind seeing
6. Liebenberg, 7. Brink, 8. Wiese
On a winter pitch.
