I believe the Chairman called Taylor, Rod, instead of Rob by accident, hence the nickname has stuck and is jokingly referred to now as Rod.

Interesting how there’s 2 (I gather?) or signings that we being lined up prior to the Contract situation, hopefully that bodes well for Alemanno .

That can't be true, he followed Tigers on a social media. Unless it's just a short term deal until he joins Leicester for next season?jauzy19 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 10:47 am Jeronimo de la Fuente set to join french club Perpignan.

I’d like to see someone like Vince aso from the hurricanes , can play centre or wing and Think still uncapped by the all blacks , abit like taufua, top player but often overlooked for international honours

Noel Reid will join french club Agen.

So this would account for GM saying earlier that he understood 2 of the 5 had offers from France (Telusa being the other).
Bon chance Noel!

I have a wonderful feeling within me today, after reading this mornings posts. A real breath of fresh air about it, which I haven't felt for a few years.

Yes, feel similar and as others have said the LTTV felt very positive as well. There is a lot ridding on Borthwick but think he’s up to the challenge. I do also like that Jan has emphasised that the key thing they are looking for in players in work ethic. I obviously want to see Leicester back winning but the thing that annoyed me most in the last few years isn’t the losses but that it (at least appears) Tigers haven’t had the same work ethic and togetherness as other teams.Dangerous4 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 11, 2020 12:06 pm I have a wonderful feeling within me today, after reading this mornings posts. Interesting article about just how expensive some of the acquisitions from the southern hemisphere can be. Aso might also class as a foreign player if he doesn't have the same links to Samoa as his cousins the Ioane's.
That being said he's a very good player and at the right age to be a good addition for a few years. I suspect though we'll look at uncapped South Africans first as the Pound translates much more favourably against the Rand. Could be some dual citizenship Pumas as well given their current issues.

Very positive LTTV interview. Sounds like we already have a couple of signings to announce and also that we will replace the 5 leavers and spend up to the cap so all good

Would've been a good time to put pressure poaching on Luke James

If we are going to spend up to the cap, and the cap doesn't decrease until 2021/22, then why did we need to give players a pay cut now? Do they mean we will spend up to the 21/22 cap?
Or is it that everyone has needed to take a pay cut so that marquee players are no longer required and all wages now fit within the cap itself with no marquees, hence saving £1m or so?

Does anyone know whether the salary cap has to include players no longer at the Club but for whom Tigers have a residual contractual obligation?
In other words if we're topping up Manu's salary elsewhere does that reduce spending power on our own squad?
