I think we’re still one prop short now Bateman has gone, maybe just for twelve months whilst the apparent conveyor belt starts to kick in, Dimen, Whitcombe, Rowntree, with Smith and Hoyt apparently highly rated also.

I’m happy with all the extensions but have I missed something, bar the players stood down we know that all the other players have signed amended contracts right?

So glad we've managed to keep Hanro, really excited to see what Borthwick can get out of him

I can see Genge being captain soon, whether in a co-captaincy role with Ford or on his own. The co-captain role is complicated by the likelihood of both being away on England duty but that is not many occasions in a whole season, and others could step in. I just see Genge as having grown massively as a person and leader in the last couple of years; he has tempered his impetuous streak but without losing his passion; he plays by example and would be a leader in the forwards if Tigers are returning to that forwards-dominant style of play; he is good in his position so sets an example and will always be first choice; you can see him communicating alot on the pitch both for Tigers and England; he is bright and has an engaging style about him; he has shown massive commitment to the club by agreeing a new deal recently; and finally, he seems to love getting himself in front of the camera or microphone. What more could a club want?

With it having gone very quiet from all parties, I would not be surprised to see Taufua and Manu on the list tomorrow.
Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2
Thought Taufua might have been today - he replied to a tweet of Nadolos' so thought he might have been "online" ready to response to something from Tigers. (He doesn't tweet that often).
Confirmation of Ford and Genge tomorrow plus hopefully Taufua. Not bothered about Manu if i'm honest.

Crazy how he is only 24
Must be a few tomorrow
Youngs Brothers, Cole, Taute, Lavanini, Genge, Ford have all been in the press as signing new contracts.

Nor am I but would have expected to see more news stories about the huge number of clubs interested in signing him if no deal had been agreed. Sadly press silence is not something often associated with Manu contract negotiations.Coops wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 12:34 pmThought Taufua might have been today - he replied to a tweet of Nadolos' so thought he might have been "online" ready to response to something from Tigers. Please please please let Taufua be one of the announcements tomorrow.
Glad about Hanro. Was really impressing up to injury. Him and the other three are all the type of solid players that should grow under SB.
Do we need popcorn tommorow?

Hanro does have potential to be a tigers skipper. Captained South Africa at U20 level, plus The Bulls.
I’m uncertain Genge and Ford would be amongst the contract renewals announced tomorrow, it’s already been reported in the press, it would be old news really.
