Just on foreign player rules, the ones I saw were about being a member of Rugby Europe, so Georgian players would not count in the previous quota. Obviously we do not know what they will be going forward.
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!

Itoje is not a captain. AWJ is the best captain but not necessarily one of the two best 2nd rows.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

I would disagree Itoje is very much a captain he just hasn’t been appointed yet.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 8:55 pmItoje is not a captain. AWJ is the best captain but not necessarily one of the two best 2nd rows.
There was another Lions tour to South Africa where an untried captain was selected, which they won. Can’t quite remember the blokes name though.
To assume a Lions captain has to be his country’s captain is a mistake imo

I suspect Alun Whinge-Jones would be like Paul O'Connell. Great for his own nation, but would struggle leading and uniting a Lions tour.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 8:55 pmItoje is not a captain. AWJ is the best captain but not necessarily one of the two best 2nd rows.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

At 35 by the Lions Tour and closing on on 36 his best rugby is behind him. The lack of talent for Wales in the second row saw them call up Will Rowlands for the 6N. Lots of experience and a bit of a talisman but the money has to be on an Itoje and James Ryan lock combination. Then there's a raft of quality locks to pick from Johnny Gray, Henderson, Lawes, Byrne, Ball and maybe Kruis is he stays around. That's before we've seen of any bolters come through like maybe Kpoku or Cummings. There might even be an uncapped surprise like Johnny Hill. The depth at lock is massive. AWJ really shouldn't be touring again unless he's in a junior coaching role.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 8:55 pmItoje is not a captain. Mentioned that Rowntree and Vanes (spelling) we’re moving up too. Don’t know if this has been mentioned

It was expected.
But nice to see confirmed.
1.Whitcombe, 2. Vanes, 3. Rowntree Promoted from the last 2 years academy is a good upcoming England age grade front row.
On new signings think Lewington could be a good logical bet.

Would be a good signing. Scores tries, quick and we really never made the most of him last time he was here. Be nice to see him finally playing in the Tigers first team.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 9:51 pm On new signings think Lewington could be a good logical bet.

Zack Henry... oh my holy goat.
I’ve finally got round to watching a few videos of him in action, if he brings half of those skills to the prem we’ve got a hell of a player on our hands.
Literally can’t wait to put this season to bed and crack on with next year.
New coach, good signings and even a new kit supplier! Whats not to get excited about?

MJ captained his club before the Lions though. Has Itoje ever captained a side before?Mark62 wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 9:01 pmI would disagree Itoje is very much a captain he just hasn’t been appointed yet.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 8:55 pmItoje is not a captain.
