Change of Tune
Amongst all the talk of sacking BOD, DOR, OBY, YBY and any other number of bizarre acronyms, can I suggest the real way forward is to change our onto-the-field anthem? 'Smoke On The Water' is clearly out of its depth, living on past glories and not up to the demands of today's ruthless, high-Paice, professional game. In my opinion, (apologies for using that wishy-washy phrase) what Welford Road needs is a period of the boys preparing to smash it to the tune of this British Midlands anthem (YouTube provides the words, it's great, this internet thing):

Those who disagree can safely consider this post the product of a Russian bot. People run because they're scared, comrade.

Re: Change of Tune
Something inspiring from Hans Zimmer or Ramin Djawadi would be superb. Perhaps they could write a special track justfor us
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: Change of Tune
There has been discussions about this before, I believe I started such a thread once. Problem with todays music is that it isn't universally appealing and not particularly effective at spurring a crowd. Imagine Dragon's Believer is a good option though.
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni
Re: Change of Tune
Bit of Carl Orff. Carmina Burana is quite stirring.
I'm not cynical just experienced
Re: Change of Tune
Benny hill theme tune seems more appropriate just now.
(not a serious post, for the pedants).

Some things you just don't change; pancakes on Shrove Tuesday; eggs at Easter; Trees at Christmas; Smoke on the Water at Welford Road. Simples...
Life can be unpredictable, so eat your pudding first!

If the tyre is punctured - you don't replace the handlebars and think that will fix the issue.

Nor should you ignore the puncture, and keep riding it deflated damaging other parts of the machine.wellstiger wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 6:31 am If the tyre is punctured - you don't replace the handlebars and think that will fix the issue.
Re: Change of Tune
The old chestnut!
One wonders if the original poster has bothered to read any of the légions of threads on this subject. The arguments remain the same, as does the song.

Anything wrong with ROAR by Katy Perry.
Re: Change of Tune
^^ Yes, lots!
Basically lacks a strong rhythm, and difficult to loop sensibly. For two.
