in my view, a very good guy and well liked and respected by all fans........
Been a true Wasps legend in the old school wasps way - even to the point of buying bandages and strapping when the club were on their a*se financially (some would rightly say they still are)
He will go elsewhere and do very well I feel

Largely agree with the sentiments though I do wonder if he had his limitations.
A bit like Cockers maybe...
But perhaps I'm being harsh...

I feel for Dai Young a bit.
Cipriani, Wade and Hughes were central to Wasps and i think if you add these three to that side then it would be formidable.
Other Premiership sides shouldn't be allowed to come in with stupid offers that cause wages to spiral and ruin other clubs sides playing continuity.
They blame relegation for the rubbish rugby but they do more damage to eachother in this regard in my opinion.

Utterly bizarre handling of the situation by Wasps. Having announced "Director of Rugby Dai Young will be stepping back from first-team duties for an interim period" just a week earlier, how could there possibly have been any other outcome than this, sooner or later? Very tough on the fans and the players (most especially Thomas Young) - once again exposing the challenge of managing family relationships within a professional club (the Mallinders also spring to mind as another recent example plus the Fords when at Bath).

Agreed lamb shanks I too feel sorry for Thomas but an ardent Wasps supporting friend suggested that "they were looking for the funds to pay Dai's redundancy monies from the coffers now the Ricoh has no Cov. City income and the settlement dates draw nearer." Quote!Longshanks wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 12:12 pm Utterly bizarre handling of the situation by Wasps. To the world you may be just one person.
But to that one person you may be the world!

With two and a half years of his contract to go he will be getting a good golden handshake (£750k?) and he won't be laft to walk the streets for long. I'm sure when he thinks about he will see it as a new and exciting opportunity.
Good luck to the man.

If he has walked away from the club, then I doubt he will receive any cash! I wonder where he is going?
Re: Dai on his way! - now departed.
Well now that's just weird....
Re: Dai on his way! - now departed.
I heard the paying off of his contract is in the 7 figures.

I still don't get why he's not always referred to as "Live Fast"
