Well we won the 2nd half but 1st half was truly terrible.

Well done France. England won the last 20 minutes, Eddie lost to Shaun.

England have now lost 5 of their last 7 away since the 6N.

I find it amazing how often international coaches do this. Playing a flanker at 8 rarely works at test level. That type of game needed someone like Alex Dombrandt. Tom Curry is a superb player but a number 8 he is not. Ewels over Kruis was another poor selection and if Willi Heinz is the second best scrum half in England then God help us all.

It's almost as if the thousands of hours of playing a set position teaches you a thing or two, like how to properly weaponize a dominant scrum. I'd bet a fiver Jones calls up an 8 as 'cover' for Manu without ever admitting his mistake.

Why do England insist on playing players out of position? Curry and Lawes worked hard but wasted out of position.
Genge added ferocity and grunt in the scrum. May quality. The latter showed why the have to accept that Daly has no place in the side. The difference between one of the best wings in the world and a club player. What did big Joe do to get dumped?
Marler, Ewels and Daly utterly anonymous.

Farrell and Sinckler had shockers.

Need to play a genuine 8.

I agree re Daly. Yes, he can kick goals from miles out but he's rubbish under the high ball and is rarely effective on the wing.

Though neither showed the snipe that was the Youngs trademark early in his career. Is the snipe not a way to beat the blitz? That and a kick over the top?

A pass is required. But so is invention.

Young’s was awful, the Saracens crew looked legless, if Tigers don’t keep hold of JM then it’s like giving Messi away for free, different clsss!!!

A good bottle of rouge will be opened this evening!! Now I'm an Englishman and support England but they got what they deserved this afternoon, and hopefully, Eddie will have learnt a lesson not to pheck about with the back row, pick a pair of 9s who are clueless (unfair comparison with the world's best scrum half, the outstanding Antoine Dupont!) and persist with a captain who needs a season or two off in Japan, or wherever.
Was the situation with Saracens a factor in today's defeat? I would suggest, yes! The only Saracens player who came out of this weekend with credit was playing for Wales!!
Finally, what the hell (to avoid being censored!) were the England players doing when they stopped playing, expecting Nigel to blow his whistle before the French scored that try? Unforgiveable! Schoolboy stuff!
Lose in Edinburgh next week and Eddie can pack his bags!
