Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week
What team do people feel we will put out next week, obviously there will be some rotation, personally I would like to see something all the lines of:
Genge, Kerr, Leatigaga, Lavanini, Lewis, Taufua, Rieffel, Boladau, Harrison, Hardwick, Thompstone, Taute, Viljoen, Veainu, Steward

Re: Return fixture next week
Going from Murphy's comments after the game I would say that will be very likely or at least close!

Looks pretty much spot on to me. Some very exciting/promising names on that team sheet so should be enough to get the job done
Oakham lad born and bred, Tigers season ticket holder who is enjoying steady progression back towards the good old days!

Looks about right to me too, although I'd perhaps like Taufua to get as many minutes on the pitch as he's ready for. Veainu I might have started with if he hadn't come on so early yesterday. Viljoen in the mix if he's fit.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 12:23 pmLooks pretty much spot on to me. Re: Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week
Yesterday was useful in giving a 'run out' to first choice players with enough recovery time afterwards to deal with any niggles before the Exeter match. Manu might be a prime example of that. The return game will be too close to take any risks.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

Have to be balanced with some players needing some game time such as Genge and Taufua

23.Worth
We will need the Hardwick-Reid-Taute midfield to function well during the 6 Nations so it makes sense to get them minutes together.
Simmons likewise is needing game time before Youngs is on international duty.
With Holmes injured I hope to see Steward get time at 15 with Veainu on the wing.

From the Tigers website:
French referee Thomas Charabas will take charge of the Cup tie at the Pata Stadium this Saturday (December 14, 1.30pm), and will be assisted from the touchlines by Vivien Praderie and Adrien Marbot.
Adrien Menez is named as citing commissioner. As this match is not currently scheduled for live coverage in the UK, there will be no Television Match Official.

Re: Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week
Would like to see Bateman on the bench if fit, think I saw somewhere that he was approaching a return?
Re: Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week
From twitter pictures I’d say it’s going to be a second row of Lewis and Spencer
Re: Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week
Yes it looks as though Spencer, White and Veainu are going to be involved in some capacity.
