Can I suggest the problem with the forwards might be less to do with the players (who are an improvement on last season) and rather more to do with the specialist coach?

A big PI winger would be nice. If May decides to move elsewhere we'd have some cap to go and sign somebody, well as long as we can find somebody not hoovered up by the French academies. TV's world cup team mate Lolohea still hasn't been picked up by a club though he isn't big he did looks quick with a step I thought he looked bright at the world cup.

To be fair if May goes we can probably invest in a couple of backs with a smaller profile.

If we are going down to Fiji to scout than a Fijian ball carrying hooker would be nice as well. Then again if we're in Argentina than they are producing some pretty robust hookers at the minute, cheaper than TPN as well you'd have thought.

Maybe with a bit of luck , we could swop him with someone who is available 24/7 , mentally, and physically ????

Or get a Sports Physiologist in to evaluate what goes on in his upstairs department ?

Allegedly Clermont. Rumours of Laidlaw and Parra both leaving at the end of the season and Bezy and Youngs being lined up as replacements. Could all be agent talk but you never know. Youngs style would fit with how Clermont play currently.

I suspect a number of coaches fancy trying to get the best out of a nearly 100 cap international selected for the last two Lions tours.

I agree but your comment was who would want him. Myself and other posters are saying the talent is there why isn’t it being used. There will be many a coaches who will feel they can bring the best out in him.

White leaving Exeter at the end of the season, Lenny could be a really good mentor for Maunder and Townsend

Does he want to leave, if he does I can see only money being a real factor. In regards to your statement Mark, I made the comment because as good as Youngs has and can be, his attitude when the going gets tough (for club and/or Country) is very poor and his apparent contribution behind-the-scenes to our current plight means that coaches might not want him.

Would you like to expand on your behind the scenes comment

“Apparent contribution behind-the-scenes” means having the Board’s ear, wanting Matt O’Connor then Murphy so that he and others can get their way, I said “apparent” because I have no way of knowing if it’s completely true. Even if it isn’t, the rumours of such could be enough to dissuade other teams in signing him.

Chris Everton seems to be proposing Matias Alemanno, an Argentinian lock, quoting ‘several sources. According to Twitter. Not sure who he is but must have been in tandem with Tomàs.

Sorry if this is quoted elsewhere.
