Good side the only change I would make is that Lady Gaga will be more of an impact off the bench than Cole, who unless injured will always start anywayTTRITH wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 8:35 am Based on the news that Veaniu and Taufau are probably going to be unavaliable, but Jonny May will be fit I amend my line up:

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
Matthew Carley is ref. His name doesn't mean anything to me, although I see he is relatively experienced and has taken charge of Tigers match before. I'm hoping that is a good sign as bad referees seem to last longer in the memory than good ones.
Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
No real issues with Carley.
Does anyone know what’s happening with Sir Wayne. All the other English rwc officials are back, but last time I saw him was on YouTube at a Springboks junket

Well the ref could of been worse (CMK or father Ted's house keeper)
Isn't Carley rather home team biased..
It should be Sir Wayne, although I would enjoy Nigel having charge of one of these games.

To win is not as important as playing with style!
Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
Hmm - I still remember Sir Wayne doing a match us v Saints several seasons ago - at Welford Rd. Absolute shambles of a match and I felt sorry for both sides. It might even have been the one where Flood chickened out of a last minute drop-goal to draw level, so Geordie stepped up and blobbed it over.
I know Barnes has improved massively since those days.

I thought that game was against Saracens away
Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
I recall Barnes being a bit below par last season, especially that Naiyaravoro knock-on that Saints scored soon after from.

Don't think it matters who the ref is ,this match is only going one way!

As long as you are humble no matter the result Scott I firmly respect your opinion.

I remember it vividly. Our rumoured soon to be Head Coach got yellow carded it that match too!

Ah, my apologies. Was Barnes ref for that match or have I mis-remembered that too?
Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
Definitely Saracens away.
Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
I thought I could remember Murphy dropping a very ugly drop goal here at Welford Road
