Given Cipriani’s past I think he may be talking about a different kind of cap :smt040

We misplaced the decimal point...

The confusion was caused by the uncertainty over Brexit....

Our accountants said it would be 'fine' (no pun intended)...

it wasn't our idea...

We got caught..(how did this get here ? Please remove N.W)..
.
What we actually meant to put in place was ... (to be confirmed at a much later date)...

They just enjoy playing for us...

We thought we were still covered by the 2015 cover up , err payment , err ...

There is a general election on Dec 12...

It wasn't us ..

We forgot to take into account the National Minimum Wage...

If the Salary Cap did not exist the rules could not have been broken (not that they were anyway)...

its all a misunderstanding...

This is victimization....

To follow this through would cause undoubted mental anguish and unnecessary strain to those players being subjected to what we regard as unwarranted and unjust public scrutiny - not to mention the huge financial implications for those involved - of which there is none...

They just needed second jobs to supplement their income...

is that really the time ?...

We will add more corroboration to our case as soon as we are able to (fabricate it )
During the period in question we were a registered charity.... (however this cannot be corroborated at this present time due to circumstances beyond our control)....

We strongly suspect a foreign government to have brought undue influence to bear on this matter....
We had previously agreed in principle that any profit from these investments (of which there would not be any as investments can go down as well as up) would be used to supplement free TV licences for OAP's.Now , because of all this who knows what will become of Tiny Tim....
.. We were attempting to circumvent any potential issues arising as a direct result of possible climate change ...
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

The times are reporting that Sarries will not appeal and have accepted the findings and penalties handed out.

Absolutely - every league game they play this season, they are breaking the rules. Unless the punishment includes this season, but that wouldn't make sense would it?

So will McCall be falling on his sword as I can’t see Wray doing it as apparently he’s done nothing wrong

You must mean a Dutch cap and not a cap(ote anglaise) surely.

Interesting to hear in earlier coverage of this that there's no cap in Europe so could they not register players for them Prem and keep them outside of the cap and have a completely different squad for Europe?

That is a really interesting point. What would the mega-stars choose do you think? European Cup glory or Prem League title.

There may be no cap in Europe but qualification for Europe is through the Premiership, where a cap exists (for some apparently).

Keep a high paid squad for Europe but the low(er) paid squad fails to make top 6.....

Hmmm

I think a few questions to be answered are, if they do take the fine and the points deduction, thus admitting guilt, what happens to the games they have played already this season? Do the teams they play get Sarries points? I can’t see them losing their titles but I wonder what happens if Exeter put in a civil complaint relating to loss of earnings and revenue from losing the finals?
I would imagine they won’t have to break up the squad. They will just stop what they were doing and not having companies assisted by Wray. I guess it depends on if the players are willing to take a “pay cut”.

On the plus point we won’t be bottom for a few weeks so that’s a bonus!!
There is never any points for 2nd place...
