Yes I have seen that, not sure what my feelings are about it. Did he knowingly take more time off than was allocated? Argue all you want about the morals of the time but if it’s in his contract (which he has signed and therefore agreed upon) that he only has two weeks rest period and he breaks that then there will be consequences.

Former All Blacks centre Sonny Bill Williams has returned back to rugby league after signing a two-year contract with Toronto Wolfpack.
According to a report in Nine news, Williams has signed the deal to the tune of $10 million making it the richest contract in the history of rugby union and rugby league.

Fair play to him, never particularly liked the man but there's no arguing he's a mighty athlete.strawclearer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 11:40 am Former All Blacks centre Sonny Bill Williams has returned back to rugby league after signing a two-year contract with Toronto Wolfpack.

I'm sure he's agent is currently fielding more calls than half the Saracens players.

Joe Marchant off to the Blues for a year from Quins. Interesting move. I don't blame him for taking the chance to play down there!

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
He has signed a 3 year contract with Quins but through their agreement with the NZRU they have arranged Marchant to play for the Blues for the 2020 Super Rugby season in order to develop his game.

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
Rumours that by playing half the season in Super Rugby Marchant's whole salary won't count towards the cap and will help Quins out. Two birds, one stone.
Thought it was only a matter of time before someone picked up Kapeli. Not heard if anyone had taken Lolohea on but he was the other Tongan that didn't have a elite level club that looked good.
Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
His whole salary? Yes I would have thought his salary during his time at Blues would not count as presumably the NZRU/Blues would pay it.

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
Whatever Blues pay to Marchant/Quins whilst he is on loan will be exempt from the cap, not his whole salary. The same as loans to the Championship in other words.
Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20
Cobus Wiese has been linked with Sarries on a 5-year contract from 2020/21. Rumoured to be joining after playing the 2020 Super Rugby season with the Stormers.
Rhodes and Isiekwe are both out of contract at the end of the season so presumably he's a replacement for one of them. Wiese is a highly rated young player so won't come cheap.

I imagine Saracens will lose at least one of those two. Both should be aspiring to be internationals and will want to be in the first XV most weeks.ABClub wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:57 pm Cobus Wiese has been linked with Sarries on a 5-year contract from 2020/21. Rhodes is an excellent player but has had a few injuries recently and is about to turn 32. I can't see him getting capped now.
Isiekwe will surely want to be starting in the second row to push international ambitions. He is probably Sarries first choice blindside at full strength, whether he wants to play there long term is a different question.
I'd love to see him at Tigers. Isiekwe and Lavanini would be a brutal partnership.
