Re: London Irish vs Tigers
I've got a feeling that even if Sarries were to get a 35 point penalty, they'd still finish above us. We're the absolute pits right now.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play
Re: London Irish vs Tigers
Howard is being paid to mentor Murphy, 1 week per month and we are worse than last season. So why is Howard now the messiah successor to Murphy ??????

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
Exeter seem to be playing their England players.
We seem to be saving them for Europe.
The noddy second string European competition seems more important than staying up.
Are our coaches so deluded? We are being stuffed by the promoted team!
Not only are we poor but really don’t understand the depth of doodoo we are in.

Everybody clearout. Especially those who have overseen the abysmal performance over the last 3 or more seasons. The rot is from the top down.
I'm not cynical just experienced

Suspect we are more likely saving them for the time after Europe.mol2 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:41 pm Exeter seem to be playing their England players.

2013/14; 2014/15; 2015/16; 2016/17; 2017/18; 2018/19......2019/20.....
I think it's been degrading for that long and nobody has arrested the fall sufficiently. 2013/14 The first season in many that we didn't make the Prem Final.....and our (senior?) players heads never really got out of their own misery.

In fairness we don’t know whether they are being kept back for Europe or not. They’ve been given a week off but that’s until they come back into to train so they may not feature. But as I said before I’m quite sure if they had said they wanted to play then maybe they could, but there’s me speculating now.mol2 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:41 pm Exeter seem to be playing their England players.

I’m watching the Exeter game (no spoilers as I’m not watching it real time). The interview with Rob Baxter during the game was quite enlightening. They felt it was best for their players to play in their home game to see for themselves what sort of headspace they are in so there’s no uncertainty. Quite shrewd. But then again the England players are going to be limited in the number of appearances they can make due to mandatory rest time, so is it better to have them now or at the end of the season when things will probably be desperate again?
I’m certainly surprised that we didn’t at leat see Gengy playing.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
I reckon if it was Irish at home we would've played Genge at least.
Re: London Irish vs Tigers
Our returning internationals, (despite the odd bruise) should still be mega fit. Genge hasn't played for two or three weeks.
What the hell is going on? Any fool would know that Irish have recruited well and are no longer a push over. Fielding such a weak side against them was asking for trouble. I was prepared to give GM the benefit of the doubt but he clearly didn't know the size of the job today and I am reluctantly leaning towards the posters who want him gone. He has red green and white flowing through his veins and is much loved by most of us but surely this game has shown us how weak our squad is and how little coaching talent we have. A word to the board, SORT IT OUT!

Can't afford to be too picky when we're playing like drains.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:56 pm I reckon if it was Irish at home we would've played Genge at least.
I sincerely hope Taufua is OK and returns for the next Pem game - forget the European games.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers
The trouble is the basic skills are dire and how do you put it right having had a long pre-season. Ex players, us fans and commentators can see what’s wrong but the coaches cannot see or if they can, cannot rectify, it we are in serious trouble.
That pack today was pretty good.
The board has let the club down by not being brave enough to appoint hard nosed head coach. I really liked Cockerill but he had to do too much to save money! The head coach has to be left to dictate what the whole playing side of the club does from Academy upwards. I watched Sarries yesterday and yes, we know about the salary cap being broken BUT their players all fit into a style of play that gets results.
The way Gloucester has played the last two weeks who know, us and them to battle relegation.
Lastly, our top players have to play every game possible.
Blimey: Bristol win. Exeter had their internationals back.

We should have stayed on the bus to be honest.
