If we defend like that every week then the players will really enjoy some very vocal fan support. Bodies on the line, physical and big intensity. Attack needs work but they got the job done when most didn't think we would.

Much more like what we want to see. Good work Geordie.

Excellent defence, Hardwick worthy MOM.

Good first half, but very much on back foot in the second, but at least we saw some of the “ never say die” attitude back.

Pleased for the win, a gritty performance. Harrison made a big difference as it meant I didn't nod off at every ruck. Dodn't realise we'd signed Lady Gaga, looks like she's put on some weight though.

The most important thing was to get a win.

Scrum looks good, the replacements kept it going seamlessly.

Defence looks better, but still nod off at times. Focus and intensity in the last 5 mins is what is needed for the whole match.

Harrison much better than White.

Still too much single passes at the breakdown to a static forward.

Good win with so many players missing. Gloucester pretty much at full strength and won’t win anything (again) playing like that. Very poor. Tempest doesn’t help himself. Missed virtually every Gloucester line out not straight. At one point with Veainu the injured and lying on the ground, their hooker grabs him and pulls him out the way....idiot.

Still, fully deserved that win. Hardwick superb.

The only real mistake in the defence all game was their try. 80 minutes is a long time to remain that discipline, errors will always happen.

Agree on the stationary forwards but at least there were options for them to tip it on to. Backs are lacking a bit of penetration but with pretty much an entire backline unavailable I suppose that isn't too big a surprise. More improvement during the week and hopefully we'll see another win next week.

Gloucester did break the line a couple times, but unlike last season it didn't look like they would score every time they did.

Good game.

Some basic errors but everything was their and could be built upon.
Defence was great except the one time, Gloucester never looked like scoring a try outside of that.
Attack could've done with more substance in the middle, but the back 3 looked so much better, Olowofela has grown since last season looked good against Exeter and today.
Scrum was fantastic
Lineout generally solid

Really happy.

Had a chat with some Gloucester fans who you would think won the league last season, I did have a little dig about how Ackermann would be the perfect coach for Rassie to work with which most likely didn't help things.

I thought the new signings looked good.

Now is this a new dawn or a false dawn?

Veainu should've caught that ball by olowofela really, and maybe another week and he would've.

Finally a win! :smt041 Our season has properly started. Why we can’t defend like this every week...

Lavanini looked pretty good. Thought it was a clever tactic to put him back in the line and shorten the lineout :smt023

Great win, built on old school Tigers strengths in the forwards and scrum. From the get go it’s almost like Harrison, Kalamafoni and Veainu brought some confidence back into the team.

Kalamafoni and Leatigaga made some big carries in the first half. Also the back three clicked with Veainu and Olowofela looking very threatening. Shout out to Hardwick who controlled the game and nailed his kicks. Feel also that Gigena must be pushing Bateman for his spot, don’t get why management don’t trust him more.

Lavanini looked a beast coming on, massive carries and some big tackles. He showed the forwards how to run hard onto the ball at pace. Feel like Lavanini and Taufua will set the new standards for the pack.

Very gritty performance, Wells and Youngs superb in defence, loved their hits on Polledri. Unlucky not to get that try for Veainu but weather had a part to play and he was a bit too flat.

The determination and belief to hold on was also excellent to see.

A good gritty performance against a good physical team.

Makes you wonder what would of been last week if Harrison had started! The difference is the quick ball and control he brings.

Utterly brilliant to see TV and his magic feet Him and Kalamafoni just look better for their World Cup experience. Also think Noel Reid is coming on nicely - seems a natural centre to me.

As for Lavanini, it’s going to mouth watering with him among our full strength pack.

Gritty performance, and much improved.
Need to nail Irish though to continue the good fortune.. and not put us into the relegation spots after 4 rounds with Stains Quims and Exeter to follow.
