Wales v SA
25 minutes in, nowhere near the quality of yesterday's game. If SA do win, I don't see them changing their tactics for the final. I hope England coaching team prepare accordingly.

Re: Wales v SA
They have prepared accordingly for every game so far so why would the final be any different?

It won’t matter for the team that reaches the final though and ultimately, that’s the aim.
Re: Wales v SA
SA almost circumventing midfield, focussing entirely on forward muscle and kicking.
Re: Wales v SA
Not the excitement or attacking play of yesterday’s game but I’ve enjoyed it. Wales have tried to play a bit and SA have done what SA do. Been pretty brutal at the breakdown.
Do feel it’s going to slip away from Wales losing 2 players to injury. North was looking hungry and Wales should have been looking to unleash him more in the second half.

2nd/4th play-off game.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

It’s about picking a game plan that plays your strength and exposes the opposition weakness.
Sometimes that makes for a dull game.
Would either side play the same in the final against England?

Why is it that a guy jumping to receive the ball and kicking out forward with his feet is not penalised for dangerous play?

Re: Wales v SA
Brutal and attritional, but the quality of the passing not on par with England or the All Blacks. Not much ambition from either side. If England can keep their game up to yesterday's standard they should win.
Re: Wales v SA
Plus, if England produce a performance like yesterday they should win irrespective of the other team's tactics.
Re: Wales v SA
It's not the most thrilling of matches but then I'm more relaxed when I don't care who wins.
I'm not cynical just experienced

Interesting how so many people rate Faf de Klerk so highly and as one of the worlds best even though he takes a few steps before passing and kicks loads yet when Youngs does it, he is apparently too slow and kicks too much.

Was thinking the same his box kicking has been average at best.TigerBoy1880 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 10:46 am Interesting how so many people rate Faf de Klerk so highly and as one of the worlds best even though he takes a few steps before passing and kicks loads yet when Youngs does it, he is apparently too slow and kicks too much.
Great line drive Banana kick though
Re: Wales v SA
So if the Boks win will Eddie tinker with the midfield again to deal with De Allende.
For the record I hope he doesn’t
