Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019
I rate Alun Wyn Jones a lot and think he is a great captain and leader but he really needs to shut up and stop whinging like my 4 year old. I get it he is frustrated as Australia are on top, but he needs to get on with the game and stop being complaining.
There is never any points for 2nd place...

Great game to watch, I think England can beat either of those sides.
Now cue the whinging Aussies about Poite

Can't see what they had to whinge about. I thought the ref had a very good game.

It was poor tackle technique from Patchell but it was still a penalty from Kerevi.

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019
Was it poor technique? He was trying to wrap him up, to avoid the offload and, given the concern about high tackles, he is encouraged to go with his head up so he can deal with any late dip by the tackled player. Biggar’s tackle in which he dislodged the ball with his head was poor technique as his head was on the wrong side - I think it was this tackle that led to him going off concussed.

Exposes his rips to the Wallabies’ most powerful ribs, concedes ground, risk of injury is intermediary at the least, i have tackled like that before and i will admit it is lazy.

Hoopers was a yellow,Kerevis wasn't a penalty imo.

Odd how people interpret these differently - I perhaps wouldn't have penalised either given it seems like Biggar was falling in to Hooper who was stationary - or atleast barely moving forward in to the contact

Just seen that Francis has been cleared of his citing.

Aussie fans in uproar on Instagram saying that your quite entitled to lead with your forearm of the non ball carrying arm.
No you’re not it’s in the laws of the game.
No wonder there is so much confusion when the 2 hemisphere seem to play under different laws
