Let’s not go straight to all senior players.
Gigena, Kerr, Heyes, Green, Wells, Lewis, Reffell, Boladau; White, McPhillips, Aspland-Robinson, Hardwick, Taute, Holmes, Steward.
Polota-Nau, Bateman/Leatigaga, Cortes, Martin/Jordan, Coghlan, Simmons, Worth, Viljoen.
We should also go out to ensure all games at WR are won irrespective of the competition or the opposition. Away games in this competition who cares, home games are must win at all times. Need fortress mentality back.

.. how does having 60 points scored against you help in any way with your development!!MCC1964 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:46 pmSpot onsam16111986 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 9:10 amNope let's go straight to the first team. If I were a development player I would rather have a senior pro beside me in the trenches that another rookie trying to make sense of what is happening around us.
OK to have WR as a fortress but shortsighted to think we could develop any cohesion this way.

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter
It is apparent that other Prem teams are not solely using this competition as a spring board for their development and are fielding
a STRONG team with a SLIGHT spattering of youth.
Question -
1) Is this in the spirit that this tournament was introduced for?
2) Should we therefore do similar and put even more stress on senior players in an already lengthy season?
3) Or do we carry on for future development of the club without busting the purse strings to buy in a bigger squad for all competitions?
I'm sure the coaches are juggling with these same questions alongside "How do we keep the supporters onside?"

Would be nice if in their website news page Tigers could actually list the selected team as they usually do.

Doing well last weeks team didn't match...
To win is not as important as playing with style!

The pack could be pretty close to 1st choice until the internationals return, the backs on the whole don't look overly inspiring but not awful eitherJP14 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 1:23 pm LEICESTER TIGERS

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter
I don’t know about that KPJ Worth is an assured fullback, Olowefela could return with a bang, and Eastmond could have a great game, then off course there’s Jonah Holmes who will be eager to remind Gatland that he should be the first name on the replacement list!

No Viljoen or Taute yet
Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter
Good point JP though I’m not sure how fit he was when he arrived and was a little behind the others.
I know numbers on backs in the back row don’t mean much but interesting to see Liebenberg at 6 and Coghlan at 8

Looking for speed off setpiece it seems rather than abrasion.

Re: PRC Round 2 - Tigers vs Exeter
Not a bad side - Olafowa and Eastmond are the weaknesses in the backline . Sad that Simmons not include - injured ??
