They are squad 12 though imo. Write down your starting XV,as I did,and it's a glaring hole imo. Monster pack, international halfbacks, international sometimes word class at 11,13,14,15 but 12 is a massive hole imo.

I’d disagree, Reid is a quality player and more than good enough to be in the starting XV. He was highly rated at Leinster and will fit in nicely.

Obviously with a wage cap we’re limited and any spare funds I’d want mainly spending on the forwards.

Not every position can have a International standard player in it the cap stops that.

We have a potential monster pack due to funds being changed to it.

Reid is a good player but are we saying that a Leinster squad player and cover is good enough to start for us? What happened to Mapoe anyway? :smt005 I like the idea of Manu/Taute but that wouldn't work with Veainu at 15

I’m hoping we will see more of Eastmond this season akin to his 14/15 form. That will be the 12 we need.

Would work with worth at fb and Veainu on the wing.

Why won't Manu/Taute work with Veainu at 15?

Not sure if you're questioning me BFG but I can't read it so....

Wasn't Mapoe a RIL rugby with Jjanties?
Veainu should work fine with Taute and Manu, neither are that bad at passing and this isn't International rugby.

Sometimes it takes a squad player to have a run of games starting to show his true potential, from what I gather Leinster fans where impressed with Reid this season.

Be nice to have another kicker or playmaker at 15 though RB like Goode is at Sarries or Le Roux was at Wasps. Veainu is just as dangerous as both joining the line late but his distribution is poor compared to those too. We would need to play more an offloading game too which was coming on a treat under Mauger then instantly disappeared under MoC iirc

Agreed Scott1. I think I have stated this. It would be worrying if they don't.
Eastmond for me is not a great player, and I just don't understand why we signed him.

Let's hope he stays injury-free. A sustained run in the 1st 15 would do him and us the world of good.

I like the idea of trying to replicate England with Worth playing the Slade role, thoughts?.
