So the Exiles have lost two major sponsors as well as a large proportion of a diminishing fanbase, yet they seem unmoved on cancelling Jackson’s signing.

I think the discussion has been had. You pays your money and makes your choice.

Two sponsors have clearly made their choice.

Guinness withdrawing is quite significant because of the history.

But if Jackson performs on the field and Irish are competitive I'm sure the club will get over it.

I think they would find that quite difficult (or at least expensive) as they signed him will full knowledge of past actions. What is interesting is they didn't have had a comms strategy or to have briefed their sponsors on the plan. Which, given they must have known it would be controversial, is pretty disastrous. That said my Irish supporting friend tells me their main sponsor is Powerday and their markets are unlikely to be concerned about Jackson. Make of that what you will......

Made their bed really.
They knew this could happen and now hoping it pays off on the field to make up for the off field stuff.

If he doesn't perform then thats another story.
A lot of pressure on him.

Did you mean Powerday’s founder and major owner also has a stake in London Irish, or that Powerday specialise in toxic and hazardous waste?
