Weekend match thread - 17-19th May 2019

Post by Scott1 »

Just watching Bulls/Rebels nice try from Pollard who's off to Montpellier. Liebenberg quiet so far but very high possession and territory for the Rebels. 14-7 Bulls,Toomua on bench.

Interesting watching the Jaguares game that Lavanini takes very little line out ball considering his size. He is instead used as a lifter and for driving at the mauls, gave Creevey a great second nudge for his try.
Can’t wait to see him next season.

As an aside how good has Pablo Materia become, I don’t think there is a side in the world he wouldn’t get into at the moment.
If someone did want to bring him to the premiership he would take up a very expensive marquee spot

Didn't watch the game Mark but his game has come on a treat, hes even got a decent kicking game,I've seen him assist a couple of tries with little dinks through. Argument for world's best 6 at present?

If it wasn't for the Argentina selection policy at the time he most likely would've signed for Tigers again.
We got very close 2 years ago to getting him back.

Just can't compete with Stade money currently.

Matera has developed into a fantastic player. Wish we still had him.

Shame he threw it forward off the floor though.

He passed it before the green line and it was caught the other side of it.

Matera is a name to conjure with, great shame we could not attract him back to Welford Road.
